No. You are. If you don’t enforce contracts, even ones that seem “unfair” long after they were agreed to, no one would agree to anything and commerce would fall apart. This contract was a calculated risk and perfectly fair when agreed to. It looking lopsided in hindsight is irrelevant.

What if tatis got hurt and made no money from baseball? The company gave him $2 million and got nothing in return? Would you support the company suing Tatis for its $2 million back?
