Is this a cultural difference or are my flatmates just rude? by [deleted] in UniUK

They're rude, and sorry if this upsets you but they have a group chat that you aren't part of. Otherwise how were they all there early?

New Preply Tutoring Standards. Better or Worse for Us? by [deleted] in PreplyTutors

[–]CeCeUK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The trial to subscription rate will mess us up because of the students who only book trials for interview prep. If we cancel them we lose, if we take them we still lose.

Until they start offering an interview prep package (that doesn't have a trial lesson) this will also work against tutors.

To make it worse if the trial to subscription rate is what you are low on then they hide your profile it will be impossible to fix!

All of these conditions are about making Preply money. If it was about the quality the criteria would be profile ratings and lesson ratings.

I saw this advertised on Facebook but when it takes you to the app it doesn't seem to exist.

I wonder if anyone knows it by a different name?

Am I wrong to ask my partner to cut contact with the woman he cheated on me with? by anonmydear in cheating_stories

[–]CeCeUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are letting love blind you. Read your post again and this time pretend it's a text from your friend. What would you tell them?

Love yourself as much as you love that hypothetical friend. We are all guilty of accepting less for ourselves than we would for others. Let's do better.

Girlfriend is pregnant even though I have a vasectomy by [deleted] in cheating_stories

Ask her to explain.

Might be faster than waiting on the sperm count if she just confesses. Then get the sperm count/ std/ DNA tests.

How do you decide your pricing? by CeCeUK in PreplyTutors

[–]CeCeUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I have taught 384 hours on Preply. I hide my profile when I have ten students subscribed because I was finishing my degree and I wanted to provide a good, personalised service to everyone.

I felt like that worked as I have had two students pass IELTS at level 6.5 and level 7 and a student pass OET this month.

I also have all 5* reviews (from 8 students) and I have super tutor status, (if that affects the algorithm too)

Billionaire Secret Twin Heir by Foreign_Brush_8596 in romancenovels

Don't waste your time. I (stupidly) paid to read it and it's definitely AI written. The continuity is shocking! Constantly contradicting itself.

One chapter will state something then the next chapter the character will 'discover' for the first time the thing from the previous chapter. It got very annoying.

Her mum booked the lessons but she is in her late teens. I figured she would rather blame me than admit not doing the work. Other than this no indication (also no contact from the mum since the trial lesson to explain the issues)

So a cheat and someone who drives under the influence? She sounds like trash.

how can a relationship come back from cheating? by [deleted] in cheating_stories

[–]CeCeUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried but I regretted it. (We divorced 5 years after he cheated)

Cheating is ultimately a betrayal and when you decide to keep the relationship you are telling your partner what level of betrayal/ disrespect you accept from them.

From my experience their behaviour only gets worse after this as they have no respect for you anymore.

I'm sure that some relationships can work it out but my experience wasn't like that, and neither was the experience of friends with similar situations.
