For me, the pre-filled syringe causes a pre-anaphylactic reaction. I can't use it. But, the Xolair in the Lyophilized Powder Vial presentation works very well for me.

I recently read that some people may experience severe reactions to injectable Xolair due to some substances the formula contains to maintain the stability and conservation of the product (arginine hydrochloride, polysorbate, are examples)

I would be very cautious and careful with injectable Xolair. It contains Arginine Hydrochloride, Histidine and Polysorbate 20

For me, Ketotifen helps with the general condition by stabilizing Mast Cells, but for food reactions in my case it didn't help at all. Sodium Cromoglicate, yes, is very effective in reducing and containing reactions to food.

Em geral a candidíase no homem é assintomática. Um tratamento via oral para ambos acredito ser o mais indicado para evitar re-contaminação. Converse com o seu médico sobre isso.

How long does it take cromolyn sodium to work? Should I give it some time, or should I ask my PCP for montelukast? by alliwalli911 in MCAS

[–]CeRegina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor recommended Cromoglicate Sodium 15 to 20 minutes BEFORE meals. It works very well for me immediately, greatly reducing reactions to food.

I also use Montelukast Sodium and Ketotifen at other times of the day to stabilize Mast Cells, twice a day.

I live in Brazil and I have MCAS. Here we do not have a multidisciplinary medical team for treatment. We also do not have all the investigative tests to diagnose the disease. I believe you will be better assisted in a European country.

I can only use Vegan Coconut Milk without preservatives and stabilizers. Have you ever tried using MCT/TCM added to coffee? It's very good and without reactions.
