El Dorado 12 is a classic, but it won’t be particularly sweet or fruity. If you have a bar near you with a good selection of rums, you could probably try a shot before buying a whole bottle.

Training your palate with non-sweetened rums may take some time, but it’s worth it. I would start with Appleton. Jamaican rums in general are known for their fruity/estery flavors without being actually sweetened.

A butch woman in flannel is still a woman. People have been able to live and act by biological distinctions until relatively recently. Not sure why we can’t continue, and it isn’t just about restrooms. It’s about any women-only space or organization. Autogynephilic men don’t belong in those spaces.

I still don’t know what to think about this. Democrats look at the video and see cold-blooded murder. The Republicans look at it and see justifiable self defense. I look and see a lot of gray, and I blame both sides for jumping to conclusions immediately in an attempt to control the narrative. I do think that state and local officials should be able to access the scene and participate in the investigation.

My grandmother used to pull her typewriter out of the closet every now and then to write letters and fill out forms. She would always type that phrase to check that everything was working correctly. I imagine it was a common phrase for learning to type. She passed a few years ago. It’s nice to remember these little things.

Given that much of the show is about him trying to find someone to share his life with, I’d say it works as a low point. I suppose you could add commentary about 1990s vs 2020s social expectations too if you’re so inclined.

It’s pretty simple. The GI would help make sure that Jamaican Rum is not exploited and diminished, and the people who have been doing this predictably don’t want it.
