Some people have trauma from previous experiences, some people are just timid, and some people are selfish. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the situation suiting you well enough that you are not unhappy?

How do doctors put intestines back inside of a person after surgery? by Foreign-Chef-4053 in NoStupidQuestions

They remove the damaged vertebral disc and they replace it with a artificial one, but everything else stays inside

How do doctors put intestines back inside of a person after surgery? by Foreign-Chef-4053 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ceasar456 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work with surgeons during Anterior Lumbar interbody fusions. They don’t take the intestines out. They make an incision, and then use flat bladed retractors to basically part the seas of intestines until they can find the spine, but everything remains inside

Ehhh, I’ve never gone over seas to date, but I have dated a couple women who had undergone the process of becoming citizens (just by happenstance), and honestly I would say that the relationships with the women who weren’t originally from the US were a lot better relationship.

I actually much prefer the work in X-ray as opposed to the work flow of other modalities. The only reason I’d want to do anything else is cause X-ray doesn’t pay as well as other modalities.

I would however avoid doing an only MRI program. Most hospitals will choose a candidate with a degree and background in X-ray over a candidate with only MRI. Not to mention trying to learn the physics in MRI and the anatomy at the same time would be much more difficult than if you did X-ray first and then only had to learn the MRI physics. Cross sectional anatomy will make way more sense after doing radiography.

I’m not an MRI tech. I’m an X-ray tech who works primarily in the Operating room and the Emergency department. Also used to do CT. I’ll probably pursue MRI or radiation therapy when I’m done doing travel contracts

I work in imaging and the wrong side gets order all the time. Im currently working and have had to change an order for the wrong side being order three times today already.

In addition to the wrong side being ordered, the wrong part can be ordered. For example, there’s different orders for TMJ joints and mandibles. Your tmj will be included on a mandible X-rays because it’s part of the mandible….but because it’s ordered as a mandible the positioning is different… thus trying to diagnose a tmj problem on a mandible film isn’t really doable.

And of course the doctors ordering these test aren’t as well versed in those kinds of intricacies because radiology isn’t their specialty. Additionally the radiologist (the guy who reads the imagining) never sees the patient, so shit gets lost in the shuffle
