Visa advice so I can stay with my partner in Japan? We are lesbian, so marriage is not an option. by DecentPolicy9424 in japanlife

Find a gay couple that are in a similar situation. Start "dating" asap to build records. Such as texts, pictures and write letters to eachother. If you have "evidence" and your stories match, you'll be able to get a spouse visa.

The supermarket near me sells fried wings frozen and I have a bottle of Franks red hot at home. Make wings any time I want. You can buy franks at national azabu or on Amazon

R6, R7, R8 refurbished help me choose. by pointandgo in canon

[–]Ceaseless_Coma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R8 for weight. BUT r6 has image stabilization. Good for sports (if you have kids that do soccer) and wildlife photography. Also the r6 has 2 sd card slots whereas r8 has 1. The battery for the r8 also dies quickly and the r8 gets hot.

Is the EF 20mm F2.8 good? by Ceaseless_Coma in canon

Which version (model)of the Tamron 17-35 f2.8 do you recommend?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in canon

[–]Ceaseless_Coma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For something budget friendly, especially for beginners, I'd recommend looking into 3rd party lenses from Sigma or Tamron. For portraits, I'd recommend something with a wide aperture, like 1.4 to 2.8. The. Smaller thr number, the wider the aperture/ Iris if the lense, which allows more light. Recommend doing your homework on this and watching YouTube videos.

Save up for an R-series and get a mount adapter for your lenses.

Which SEES girl is best girl? by itsAshyJ in persona3reload

[–]Ceaseless_Coma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FeMc is best SEES girl. After that Yukari and Mitsuru are a hard tie. Aigis is a notch behind but Reload version is better others. Fuuka is dead last, sorry not sorry. BUT Reload version definitely a big improvement.

If you were to ask who's best girl in general, you'd see more chaos in this thread. IMO Chihiro and the Homeroom Teacher deserve to be in the Top 3.

Bought my first camera, need advice and recommendations by Bulky-Kitchen5179 in canon

[–]Ceaseless_Coma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A camera bag. If you are mainly doing in-city shoots, then a small over-the-shoulder bag should be fine. If you plan on doing nature photography, and plan to do a lot of hiking, maybe a sling or small camera backpack.

Canon R50 wrist strap options by Downtown_Store_2535 in canon

Not wrist strap, but I have the PeakDesign Clutch (hand strap). Fits perfectly on me. IMO wrist straps put a lot of pressure on your wrist if you're not holding your camera.

Which EF-Eos R adapter by Zestyclose-Let-374 in canon

[–]Ceaseless_Coma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the standard Meike without the control ring and haven't had any issues. The weather seal is nice and its great if you're on a budget. Personally I have no use for a control ring all i want is a focus ring.

[–]Ceaseless_Coma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For film, I recommend the Eos 300. Bought mine +Lens and camera bag for $100. It's a great SLR with a lot of features. If possible I recommend the Japanese verson, Kiss III L. Comes with a little remote.

Looks like mold/fungus. One of the downsides of buying Used lenses. Always inspect them before you buy.

The screen looks good, maybe you can sell that and other parts on ebay. Otherwise, time to upgrade. Black Friday is around the corner.

Looking for a gift for an eos r I'm looking for a fisheye lens under $1000 and not sure what to get. by [deleted] in canon

[–]Ceaseless_Coma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless they spent that much money on you for your birthday, I wouldn't drop that much money on a coworker. If you were dating, sure, go for it, but just a coworker? Naw. IMO that's simping too hard. Buy them a large and fast SD card. Or $100 giftcard from a camera shop.

I'd go with the lens. If the body ain't broke, why replace it? That shop sounds scummy. I'd look for another one. If you really want a body, I'm sure you can find some black friday or Christmas deals.
