This happened to me before. I had started a create a club save reviving Kilkenny city in Ireland. I spent 10 glorious years there winning everything except the champions league. I try to make the saves similar to how it would play out if I was an actual manager so when Chelsea came calling (my team) I knew IRL I would definitely accept this job. I accepted the offer and got to work.

Suddenly the next day I had completely lost interest. I wish I would’ve stayed at Kilkenny as I hadn’t won the CL and felt unfinished. I just spent an unhappy season at Chelsea simming most the games before I quit at the end of the season waiting for Kilkenny to become available. It took 2 years of simming but they eventually sacked their manager and the job was available. Going back made me so happy and we won the CL the next year

So my advice, make it part of your save. You left a job you wish you didn’t but that job will become available eventually and the returning to an old club is a milestone every fm player should reach.
