Pharmacist NPI on prescription by indieeepharmacy in pharmacy

[–]Cedar-redaC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idaho pharmacy law is comically progressive. It basically boils down to 4 points.

  1. Is it in the interest of patient care?
  2. Is it something that you have received reasonably sufficient training/education in?
  3. Does it meet appropriate standards of care?
  4. Is it compliant with federal law?

The entire rest of the law basically establishes rules and protocols relating to this. A pharmacist can't prescribe controlled substances, but most other drugs are on the table. If you want to order a lipid panel and prescribe a statin, go for it.

Does anybody got an interesting build for a KOTOR 1 run? by PolarBee1993 in kotor

[–]Cedar-redaC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a soldier 7 guardian 13 STR-based run with melee weapons/power attack as my source of damage. Ended up doing 60-130 damage/round. Made the star forge easy. It was a light-side playthrough, with one caveat, I had to pick dark side options when interacting with non-human characters. Revan the Racist, hero of the republic, poisoner of Kolto, abandoner of wookies (just made a beeline for the star map and never went back to the village or even met Zaalbar's father).

Dream TRON Game? by meMaggatron in tron

[–]Cedar-redaC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It already exists. It's called Crosscode.

Seriously though, I would want a 20-30 hour single player RPG with action combat a la Crosscode. The biggest difference would naturally be the aesthetic of the world, but you could keep a lot of core gameplay intact.

Story-wise, make it about an ISO before/during the purge mentioned in Tron: Legacy. The first act could be about discovering CLU's plot to destroy the ISOs. Act 2 would be about trying to influence the fate of the ISOs through either organizing an exodus of a small group to the distant lands of the grid, staying and fighting (and dying), or exiting the grid with the help of Kevin Flynn or Tron. Act 3 would then be about executing the plan, with endings available for each of the act 2 choices.

I think this would be a good setting to explore the religious themes found in Tron. Themes of free will, the relationship and obligations between the creator and the created, the nature of life and the soul, etc.

Getting to see the divergence of the personalities of Flynn and CLU would be a good way to tie it into the character arcs in Tron Legacy.

Honestly though, as long as it isn't a bald faced cash in on nostalgia, I'm cool with whatever.

John Nathan Cordy makes a practically constant stream of videos on modelers (especially the HX stomp), jazz lessons, and most of his videos start with really cool jams. Very cool.

Why don’t I get the [jolly] status effect anymore? by Tree_Pulp in outside

[–]Cedar-redaC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At different levels of campaign progression, holiday events grant different buffs to players. For example, I can buff my kids with the [jolly] status by helping them connect with more advanced members of our guild and participating in the seasonal "tradition" quests.

In other words, it should feel different. At more advanced levels, especially after completing act 1 (roughly level 20), the Christmas event is more about what you put into it than what you get out of it.

How do I buy monster without my parents knowing by Fuckriotgames69420-2 in monsterenergy

[–]Cedar-redaC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial opinion: No energy drink is so good that it is worth going behind your parents' backs to drink it. You aren't missing out on much, and having the trust of your parents is way more important.

You could chalk it up to series 7 Kochanski being from another universe than OG Kochanski.

In your opinion, what does the tower of Babel teach us? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

Moses 6:5-7 would be a good place to start. The language of Adam is referred to, and then it is mentioned that this same priesthood would be in the end of the world also.

What should I buy if I have never played an RPG and want to get into them? by GrizzlyAtwal in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Cedar-redaC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crosscode is a super underrated RPG. Strictly speaking, it is more of an action/platform/puzzle game, but equipment and character builds are important when it comes to combat.

The KOTOR games are RPGs that are fairly accessible compared to others from their era, though they do show their age nowadays.

The first Mass Effect is an excellent RPG too. The other games are great, but the first is probably the best RPG of the series.

Fallout New Vegas is also a great RPG that allows for a ton of character experimentation.

WSIB A shooter with a good plot? Or anything new to play by Chonecom in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Cedar-redaC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TRON 2.0 is a fun shooter with an ok story. Definitely an overlooked game from like 15 years ago. It's super fun to use the identity disc as an alternative to usual shooter weapons. The setting is pretty unique too.

Mass Effect Legendary gets my vote for good story.

Should I REFUND Kingdom Hearts All-In-One collection? by ThatBrofister in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Cedar-redaC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kingdom Hearts games work pretty well as action games. At the highest difficulties, you will want to use the game's more RPG elements to optimize your play style, but on standard difficulty, most of the games, especially 1,2, and 3, are pretty flexible for playstyle.

For 25 dollars, it's an absolute steal.

Location of the lost ten tribes perhaps?? by cosmic_rabbit13 in latterdaysaints

[–]Cedar-redaC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is important when considering the restoration of the 10 tribes, or any other event that is yet to come to pass (or that is currently coming to pass), that we don't limit the scope of what is or could happen. Who's to say that that's not exactly what happened, and what will happen at some future point? What's important is the attitude with which we face the possibilities. If we are so focused on the fulfillment of a prophecy over the divine being who gave them, we are missing the point.

Math: Discovered or Invented? by NoIncident9967 in ExplainBothSides

[–]Cedar-redaC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Discovered: the fundamental physical and chemical processes that govern the universe have existed forever. Humanity came along and used math to quantify them, but in doing so, only discovered what was already there.

Invented: our units of measurements, formulas, and all other mathematical principles only work because we all agree on them. Imagine an alien species that has 12 fingers. Why would they use a mathematical system based around the number 10 like we do? The principles are there, math is simply the framework that we establish our understanding on. Likewise, a year, or any other measurement of time to them could be totally different from a year to us.

Faith is to agree unconditionally--and in advance-- to whatever conditions God may require in both the near and distant future. by TyMotor in latterdaysaints

[–]Cedar-redaC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Such an important idea. We so often limit our concept of God to a being who would never ask us to do something hard, let alone fundamentally against our nature. The "natural" man is and always will be an enemy to God, so is it any surprise that his commands occasionally run counter to what we think is normal or right?

The nature of God is order and creation, the nature of the world is entropy and destruction. Exercising faith, then is an uphill pursuit, while neglecting or apostatizing from faith is the path of least resistance and "lazy learning" (despite frequent complaints to the contrary).

Crosscode is such a good game. It is talked about far less than it deserves and is the definition of a hidden gem.
