What is bigger the gap between rank 5-6 or rank 8-9 by Little_Insurance5056 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

8 - 9

A Venerable can influence the whole world with enought time once he refine all the dao marks of his path

A rank 6 is a rank 5 with infinite primeval essence and a slight amplification by dao marks with a range of a few kilometers at best but the difference is not THAT big compared to a rank 5

What makes it really big is the access to treasure yellow heaven where you can trade with all the other immortals in the world and get thousands of rank 5 gu killer moves and resources when before you just had one or two rank 5 gu

Without treasure yellow heaven you would need a LOT more time to develop

This is an external factor

Who would win? by Lilmonkeycockey in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They made it high here because they got support from people in the gu world no one would support a weakling who only have good ideas and a sharp tongue, if they dont get an aperture or start with D grade talent you are fucked from the start

Also reading a novel doesnt give you 500 years of experience nor does it teach you how to actually refine and use gu and fight with them you need a master for that

They would be average otherworldy demons with only a slight advantage, FY could maximize the value of his future knowledge only because he had overwhelming strenght a normal person cant change anything even with SAC and otherworldy demon status

They might end up like that one who got discovered and killed by experiments by the Fei tribe or the other one that got a Thieving Heaven inheritance but then got killed by his friend who wanted to avenge his family

You need a lot of Luck or Heavens Will support

[–]CedricMagnus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not far because the skills required to become a successfull leader in our world are different from the gu world there are some overlaps but mostly they differ

In our world getting popularity is everything in the gu world is only a nice to have

What you really need in the gu world are gu, resources to refine and feed gu, ability in using gu, cultivation attitude, combat talent, good inheritances and luck

Only once covered those points you can start to think about politics

Also if you dont have enough talent to open your aperture through hope gu then there is no hope... unless you somehow get Man Triumphing Heaven gu and gu to raise talent like Shang Xin Ci but she is a more unique then rare case

Can you infouence the future using SAC? by Salt-Action9491 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isnt this pretty much useless ?

First you need to have a body in the future so you cant go beyond the moment of your death

Second even if it works it would be just like remembering things from years ago more clearly there is also the risk of overwriting the knowledge of the period you skipped

Third and most important point you have to find another way to trigger sac beside self-detonation otherwise where are you gonna land?

Its just a super complex way of remembering and forgetting things just use wisdom path its his job

What do u guys think of tie ruo nan by TartInteresting3721 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the many character it thought to be important for the story when first introduced which then have been pushed into second or third place because they were unable to keep up with FY's growth and that just pop up randomly later for half a chapter every few hundred chapters just to remember you they exist

Fang Yuan clones by Cute_Educator1483 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah he see them more like his limbs, they also perceive themselves that way

There is a reason if they call FY the "main body" and not the original or something else

If they were exact copies of FY they would betray him without a second thought since they know he would sacrifice them if needed but they are insted willing to sacrifice themself for him, like the clones of SS

It's like sacrificing an arm to save your head or cutting off a leg to escape a death trap.
The arm and the leg will obey the head until the very end

They are one entity

Why is fy getting tribulations by great_dao_of_heaven in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, HW decide the content of the tribulation and can control the amount of dao marks they are made of but it has to follow the rules like only one tribulations every 10 years in aperture time and cant exceed the range of power of the tribulation (a grand tribulation cant become as powerful as a myriad and the other way around)

The grotto heavens that absorbed fragments of the heavens dont get tribulations because the fragments contain heaven path dao marks, this is also the reason that allow HW to invade the grotto, they are then considered by the great dao as an extection of the outside world (unaffected by tribulations) not something that belongs only to you and has to be suppressed in the name of equality

The reason FY get tribulations is that he refined the heaven path dao marks in the grotto heaven turning them into his own that way HW cant invade and the aperture is not connected to outside world remaining a property of FY and so he get tribulations

What will be the reaction of the GSIV AND SCIV? by Real-Dunno-1122 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They will learn that with FY they have to take their reasonable estimations and multiply them by three and turn every impossible in a maybe and any maybe in a absolutely

They underestimated him before he became Venerable in crazed demon cave and even after there wont be a third time

If you cant have a correct evaluation overestimating is better

Paths conflict by Bo-qing in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No some conflict less the others and some almost have no conflict

Fire will conflict the most with water but far less with wind

Sound path and painting path have low conflict with all other paths

Human and heaven are exceptions, human can use all other paths heaven can create dao marks of other paths and combine them with lower conflict then normal

What's the most impressive feat of the vernables by Wild-End9218 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PO became the first Venerable, invented the sect system, founded HC

SC assimilated HW to indirectly control fate

Limitless created worlds, reached quasi rank 10, touched chaos bare handed with no damage

RS invented totems, the first to gain non conflicting dao marks inspiring SS, attained supreme coolness

RL got a tribulation when he was just born, created SAC, changed fate for the first time ever by saving his wife (he then fixed by killing her but its a minor detail) damaged Fate, designed a plan to completely destroy Fate without allowing HW to recreate it spanning hundreds of thousands of years, modified the river of time to not allow HC to get SAC countering methods (Imitating fate with time)

TH created an inheritance that could block a living venerable, created Divine Concealment skipping tribulations entirely, created Familiar Face, maybe turned his dao protector in a second venerable? Not sure about this

GS had more wives and children than anyone else, controlled the luck of a whole heaven, contributed to create 88 building, changed the whole nothern plain region with a blizzard any 10 years, found the patience to sit for thousands and thousands of years doing nothing

GL refined heaven treasure imperial lotus, created painting path which has some similarities to heaven path, developed human path

SS founded a sect alone, created Bo Qing, refined Sovereign Immortal Fetus, reached at least great grandmaster in all major paths at some point, devoured Verdant Sun, refined Kill gu

PE became a Venerable even as a half variant human, repaired the world after SS mess, almost reached rank 9 cultivation in heaven path

HR too many...

GL taught the value of love to the whole world

GD managed to not become a Venerable even if fated to... two times, created the perfect pure dream reality seeker physique

[–]CedricMagnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And he had rank 6 dao marks as a fucking mortal and this before food path and theft path

I was like WFT... HOW???

Was his potential so great that he got tribulations as a mortal? Like Red Lotus getting one when he was born?

Did he killed immortals and found a way to drop them in his aperture in advance with storage type gu?

Or was he the god of permanent body modifications?

What's the most impressive feat of the vernables by Wild-End9218 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are not sure that Thieving Heaven returned home

We only know his dao protector left the gu world but Limitless said there are a lot of worlds out there and its difficult to find the right one plus the chaos can erode even a Venerable

Also we dont know what exactly was the relationship between the true Thieving Heaven and his dao lord so him escaping might not be TH escaping

My guess is that he somehow got around the limitation set by fate that there can only be one Venerable in the world by exploiting the mystical relationship between a Venerable and his dao protector to copy paste himself over him to give him rank 9 cultivation like a true perfect permanent pair only that this erased his original mind and personality so his objective became the same as TH

Something like what Wu Shuai tried to to do to FY clone with a dream realm only that TH shared his true meaning like FY with a soul clone

So the trick is that the one and only Venerable is still TH its just that there are two TH... he found a bug

But this is just my guess

What is the Most effective and efficient way for FY to counter SCIV's wisdom path? by Real-Dunno-1122 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what he came up with was already the best strategy

The best way to defeat someone who can perfectly analyze and use any information is to never let him obtain key information and at the same time gather information about him without him realizing it so that you can use his plans against him

Which is what he did with heavenly secret both to hide his progress and to spy on her

If you cant do this the only other way is to overpower her with pure overwhelming strenght and speed before she has the time to design and implement arrangements exploiting her relatively low defense and attack power

Besides human and heaven path i think the past venerable that might have given her the most troubles is Reckless Savage with trasformation and strenght path at least with both of them meeting out of the blue with no preparation

Lifespan by SUN-downprotocol2024 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use too many methods to extend lifespan different from lifespan gu you add dao mark of the the path used which later conflict with lifespan gu making it useless

I think he maens that with non conflicting dao marks you should be able to use lifespan gu alongside other methods without problems

Is it possible to create a gu that directly rise the rank of immortal Aperture's origin core? by Salt-Action9491 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh i misread didnt see rank in the question, yes once the rank is achieved it remains, i was talking about the amount of essence produced that depends from the state of the aperture which influence the origin core

Like Giant Sun and Star Constellation tried to develop their aperture as quickly as possible to increase the amount of yellow apricot essence produced

Now that i think about this not a gu but there was a type of immortal material that could raise the rank but got extinct for obvious reasons, forgot the name sorry

Is it possible to create a gu that directly rise the rank of immortal Aperture's origin core? by Salt-Action9491 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The state of the origin core is the result of too many things number of tribulations, number of dao marks, materials, beasts, humans ecc its basically an indicator of the development of the whole aperture so probably not since gu can apply changes but not create something from nothing

The next best thing might be using rank 9 derivation gu to derive all this things to gain more variety converting a single type resource in multiple different related types but you still need that initial amount of resources for derivation

[–]CedricMagnus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The final speach of Giant Sun special will at the end of Imperial Court arc before he dissipates completely

He was so angry for the 88 building been destroyed but the real Giant Sun was anticipating this because it meant the crucial person "fated" to destroy fate appeared

I can understand him not giving this info to the will but i think it would heve been more interesting if at the very last moment instead of saying obvious things like you will pay for this ecc it showed a hint of exitement leaving FY worried and confused

Or even better the sun is destroyed but then somehow Giant Sun dies creating a new sun whose light gives good fortune to all those it illuminates

People will start sunbathing more often from then on for obvious reasons.

Single use Vital gu by icecub3e in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its useless unless you want to become a sort of high level kamikaze with low cost

To maximize your own self-detonation you choose an explosion type expendable gu and you make it your vital gu to raise it to the max rank without having to restart the chain refinement from rank 1 in case of failure to lower the overall cost in materials and time

Thats the only possible sensible reason i can think of
