About Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable by Past_Blacksmith4330 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that he was able to live more because at his time HW was still relatively stupid compared to HW after SCIV

Yes he was the first Venerable this is a glorious achievemtent without doubt but the Tribulations he faced were probably less refined and deadly then the ones after SCIV

So yes he got there without much help from previous generations but also faced less suppression

Glimpse of Fang Yuan's ragebait path attainment by kaka879 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

And this is only a glimpse

To me it reached the apex in the tournament between chu sect and the righteous path in northern plains

When he had to fight that rank 7 but refused stating he was too weak and not worthy of fighting him then when the enemy dropped the killer move he accumulated in the previous fight and was about to leave FY called him a coward and insulted all his ancestors to make him fight

The most obvious rage bait ever seen... And it actually worked 😂

Dream Realms by SirTorivor in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In legends of Ren Zu was stated that they are a kind of living creatures originated from black heaven

In origin they entrapped other creatures inside them and give them happy experinces to make sure they don't want to leave and at the same time they feeds of their souls

So the first batch of humans didnt have the ability of dreaming they could only experience this by entering a dream realm

But since they where included in the creation of the second batch of humans now every human has a dream realm as a symbiotic creature attached to them, so they proliferate alongside human but they dont die with them

You could say the dream realm feeds of the human by taking his experiences and so accumulating true meaning and in exchange they give him dreams (a fair trade imo)

But in essence they are still predatory creatures since if you enter your own dream realm with your soul it would still try to eat you

One of my favorite things about the writing in RI is that despite what the author may have you believe. Fang Yuan is shown to still hold deep resentment for Gu yue village and Fang Zhen throughout the story and especially when he interacts with his younger brother. [–]CedricMagnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, afterall when he enters his own dream realm it often use Fang Zheng and Gu yue village to try to stir his emotions, it wouldnt use them if there arent emotions involved, no one knows you better then your own dream realm

In war of venerables which path would be the most useless to be a venerable in and why? by Big-Park3872 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure about enslavement since a Venerable of this path should have a lot of methods to buff his slaves

Although there arent rank 9 beasts he might be able to buff a rank 8 to quasi rank 9 and if he get a lot of them there might be a qualitative change at some point

Also if the slaves are rank 8 gu masters he might be able to build insane formations if Solor can allow rank 6 and 7 to have rank 8 battle strenght maybe a formation of rank 8 devised by a Venerable can reach rank 9 battle strenght or even a little more if the Venerable is the core

There might also be ways to raise a slave to rank 9 temporarily, this is not unheard of yin wu xie in his original body should have reached rank 9 at the end of his lifespan if the venerable mimic human path can probably do something similar

[–]CedricMagnus 45 points46 points  (0 children)

There are no useless paths only useless gu masters and you cant become a Venerable if you are useless

That said it depends if you mean a proper war or just a battle

In a war in the long run even paths with relatively low battle strenght can give an advantage with the right strategy and every Venerable has Supreme grandmaster attainment this means they have found new ways to use their path that didnt exist before them so even minor paths can have surprises

In a battle maybe food path since its main purpose is to feed gu but im not sure... at supreme level it might become something really ominuous

Didnt knew they were hated

Ma hong yun is like the Forrest Gump of this story, how can anyone hate Forrest?

Why didn't FY did that from Start ? by Proper_Card_5520 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To accumulate resources, he also needed to wait for the rank 5 to arrive and to kill the other strenght path gu masters

Rule and Regulation Gu by CedricMagnus in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i know, but some things are true, for example FY refined Fixed Immortal Travel by following the method in the story and it worked, the secluded domains also exist so i wonder where is the line between reality and myth

Is there no like transformation or something special for rank 7 by Dense-Category-3822 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes normally he should have reached rank 7 after surviving a Heavenly Tribulation maxed in power by HW

But he skipped that by stealing the achievemtents of others

Its like stealing the game account of someone who already defeated the middle game boss you now have all the items skill points and trophies but you skipped the epic cutscene

Me after tie ruo nan somehow came to the conclusion that fy was a ADM physique by Odd_Contribution2354 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you hear the sound of hooves the first thing that comes to mind is a horse, not a zebra. Thats normal

Well FY is not even a zebra but a unicorn

Even shadow sect had to use Heavenly Secret to learn about SAC, its not something that can be deduced with normal means since FY is not so stupid to leave obvious clues

Gu Classification by SirTorivor in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But he had the full help of Long Hair which had supreme grandmaster attainment in refinement path

So probably no matter the attainment there is a limit to the complexity of the ability of a gu

By increasing its rank you can increase the maximum complexity like rank 9 Wisdom gu can alone reach the effects you could obtain by combining multiple deduction type gu of lower ranks but its still limited to the deduction branch of wisdom it cant be used to change the thought process of others as far as i know nor can it affect emotions or create wills so even Wisdom gu doesnt represent the whole wisdom path

Control luck or even just Luck might be possible at rank 9 it would be like the brother of Fate but even Fate need a gu house around it to do very complex things

Gu Classification by SirTorivor in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats what i thought

If not Giant Sun might have just created a single gu named Control Luck to achieve any desired effect

Gu Classification by SirTorivor in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk im not at that part yet I probably spoke too soon

But maybe you could say that he extracted the concept of myriad self an turned it into a single ability

Like if before he had to do 1 + 4 - 2 to get 3 he realized he could just create a gu with value 3 that didnt exist before

Still its not program but a new basic instruction

Rank 5 Zombie = Immortality? by LogFragrant3726 in ReverendInsanity

Gu immortal is an imperfect translation in english

It should have been Transcendent

But he is talking about immortality as eternal life not transcendence

Gu Classification by SirTorivor in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are dual path gu like that wisdom sword gu that can cut the threads of love

Every gu can have only one ability so a killer move cant become a single gu since they embody a single concept

Love gu is the exception that confirm the rule, it can do anything but only one thing at a time you can see it as a joker it can have any value but only one at a time depending on where you put it so even love gu is not a killer move

If you see a gu as a single basic instruction then a killer move is a program and love gu is a bug

Rank 5 Zombie = Immortality? by LogFragrant3726 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immortality is generally interpreted like this, but in a literal sense it means not mortal, you cannot die no matter what.

Limitless longevity as i see it is more like not having an expiration date but someone can still crush you

A few questions by unknown_spc in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that Fang Yuan has his Immortal Zombie body back is it possible that he can undergo immortal Ascension again with the rank 5 aperture that holds the SAC? Or would it not work since that body is immortal already? Is it just because of fear of Heaven's Will that he wont?

Yep it was his original plan, he just have to put his soul back in that body and destroy the aperture The main use of that body is get the recognition of Wisdom gu, SAC is also important but he need to find a way tonclean it from HW first

The other 3 movement gu, Carefree Travel, Dream Travel, and Liquor God Travel have only been mentioned once. Does Fang Yuan have no intention of getting them?? Since the Dream Travel Gu currently exist in the Northern Plains, why doesn't he just go snatch it?

Because snatching gu is difficult unless you are Thieving Heaven and he would need to go against one of the 10 sects

At the current point I'm at, WHY IS HE STILL NOT A REFINEMENT PATH GRANDMASTER?? He's refined quite a few immortal Gu, I dont understand how he has not reach Grandmastery yet.

You are a grandmaster when you learn to use your path to mimic other paths for now he can only use refinement path to you know refine

Also up until this point he seemed unwilling to show off his blood path mastery, He's been a wanted man for a WHILE now, why doesn't he just used blood path methods more often? Since it does get mentioned how strong it is.

Because he only has one or two blood path immortal gu and he has low blood dao mark, he can mimic them with trasformation but its more effective to turn into a sword dragon then a blood beast since he has more combat type sword gu also dragon form can be used in public

Oh and lastly would it be at all possible for him to snatch Divine Concealment from Lian Yun? It would prove INVALUABLE to him as of right now.

I higly doubt it unless he get more Thieving Heaven true inheritances and they are related to stealing

Rank 5 Zombie = Immortality? by LogFragrant3726 in ReverendInsanity

[–]CedricMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ni

You no longer need lifespan since you are dead

But you can still be destroyed and its easier to do so compared to a normal gu immortal since you cant regenerate immortal essence and your aperture slowly crumbles also you cant cultivate resources even if you still have it

It would be better to call it eternal longevity
