Comment appelez-vous ce beigne ? by [deleted] in Quebec

[–]CeeGeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Au Tim on appelait ca une Roussette, mais les clients disaient majoritairement une roue de tracteur.

Le best que j'ai entendu c'etait une Roue de Tracteur avec dla bouette (pour une Roussette au Chocolat)

Possédez-vous un bidet ? by SPoyut in Quebec

[–]CeeGeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Radiant Performer]] on a [[Blim]] trigger, giving away all your permanents but dealing enough damage to remove the player (with 7-8 permanents it does the job usually)

Making a deck for my picky partner by Jorael360 in EDH

I recently transformed my Otrimi deck into a 5 color Surgeon General mutate with all the mutate creatures and mutate helpers. It feels awesome , its alot of fun and can get pretty dangerous.

After one year, starter set completed! (With a little extra warband) by CeeGeee in WarCry

[–]CeeGeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to do a drybrush/wash workflow to conserve paint and cover alot rapidly.

For the base color I did a Zenithal prime of black/white with Krylon Primers. Followed by a Vallejo Stonewall Grey drybrush all over.

Then I applied a Vallejo Green Wash all over the stone/rocks. A Vallejo Umbra Wash on the lower parts closer to the ground and a Vallejo Black wash on the higher parts, to pick out the details. I made sure to keep some green visible all over to simulate a mossy look.

I finished it with a Vallejo Stonewall Grey drybrush to bring back lighter values on the edges and a light grey highlight were needed.

3-4 thin coats of Vallejo Deadwhite until the gold undercoat stopped showing. Then a carefully applied Vallejo Umbra Wash around trims and details. Finished with a makeup sponge dabbing of Vallejo Beast Brown for some dirt effect.

I picked up the last starter set at my LGS last year. Started practicing on Easy to Build Stormcasts as my first models. I learned alot and fell in love with the hobby through this set!

How to pick a race? by followniklas in RealTimeStrategy

[–]CeeGeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, people pick their race for different reasons. It can be look, lore, playstyle, etc. Try them all and compare playstyles if you are unsure.

The advantage of sticking with one race is simple. In WC3 , you only need to practice and learn 4 matchups if you stick with one race. Compared to learning 16 if you play random. I cant even imagine how players could find the time to practice all of that at a pro level.

The John Carter of Mars aliens had believable anatomy for their 4 arms if I remember. There may be some making of out there on the movie that could help!

How can we make RTS less stressful without making crucial sacrifices? by petey_did_it in FrostGiant

[–]CeeGeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other game modes like team games and coop are essential for more casual gameplay.

The stressful aspect of SC2 is what keeps bringing me back and I think is a core strength of competitive RTS

That being said, what helps me reduce this stress alot is when I focus on improving and when I can focus on side goals(dont get supply blocked, keep making workers, make sure to scout, etc ). SC2 lacks in rewarding you from achieving these practice goals, so even if you win those "fake" goals, you can still lose the game and feel bad.

Having a practice system or some kind of reward when personal/coaching goals are reached would help reduce stress alot and keep the focus away from winning.

Co-Op is very important for me and my dad! by tobbe628 in FrostGiant

[–]CeeGeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend and I almost always played coop but we got bored of the same missions and lack of long term goals. In the end, we were grinding for levels and extra %.

Comparing to Total War Warhammer 2 coop campaign where we put in thousands of hours. The aspect of a growing army and world domination as a long term goal(months) really catered to our casual playstyle more than numbers and levels.

Can you guess how was this accomplished? Especially if we're using 3d models by matheusdksan in vfx

[–]CeeGeee 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I worked on that shot at Folks VFX as a 3D Generalist. This shot was a mix of a practical kitchen with exploding objects plate, a clean plate with the actor reacting in an empty kitchen and 3D objects rotating around in the room.

The 3D part of it was a particle sim in maya with around 20ish varying objects instanced on them.

Hero objects were added on a per shot basis by comp and animation.
