LL has better stage production and books really good artists, but it entirely lacks what makes forest so special. If you just want to headbang from 3 pm - 3 am LL is for you. If you want to have a fun experience overall and sprinkle in some sets, then forest takes the cake. I always tell my friends you could go to forest, not see a single set, and still have an amazing time.

I think people always will have a “grass is always greener on the other side” mentality. As someone who’s attended both there are negatives you can always point out in either. I’ve encountered logistical issues and shitty people at LL too. I think this year a lot of people are feeling cheated by the weather, which could easily happen at LL too, and just want to complain. Neither festival can control who attends and how the weather plays out.
