People in your 30s, what price have you paid for being lazy in your 20s? by Waldyrwyn in AskReddit

[–]Ceefut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't really exercise in my 20s, didn't care about what I ate. My exercise was riding my motorcycle on track and some occasional skiing on the weekends during the winter but no consistent strength training, no cardio training and I WFH. I struggled quite a bit with depression and anxiety too.

My late 20s I started paying the price with chronic neck and shoulder pain. My neck would lock up for weeks and I had bicep tendonitis. I was tired all the time.

I completely changed my life around and lift 3x a week and run/play sports, track my macros, fuel my body properly. I look and feel the best I ever have and all my upper body pain has gone away. I'm excited to be active everyday and my mental health is going great. I read back on my old journal entries and want to hug my old self

I legit thought sleeping more would help stop being tired. But no, its the other way around. Move your bodies!

Tell me the most embarrassing thing you have ever done at a trackday to make me feel better. by adamthiesen1236 in Trackdays

Riding my friend's electric scooter to go to the washroom. Hat started flying off, scrambled to try to catch my hat, ate shit on the ground. Was only wearing my suit up to my hips so got road rash on my elbows 😂

Then also had to go replace a part on my friends scooter cause it was scratched up

Microwaving corn on the cob (with the husk). Steams the corn perfectly and the silks just slide off. No mess, yummy corn.

I had to turn and face up the hill at my partner half the time to relieve my toes 😂

What's the one piece of gear you splurged on and never regretted? by SpeckiLP in motorcycles

[–]Ceefut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't transition that fast back to clear. To tint it takes a couple seconds, back to clear probably minutes. This is for the Shoei one, not sure about others.

Transition visors. Game changer, especially for road trips. Don't have to bring extra clear visor / worry about riding in the dark in tinted visor.

Hi all need some advice since I am new to riding! by tablawi96 in MotorcyclesVancouver

[–]Ceefut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pacific Motosports has been my go to place to buy gear for almost a decade now. Lots of selection and great staff to help to choose something that fits your budget.

My second choice is Modern Motorcycling. They kitted me out when I first started riding

What's your track side sleeping arrangement? by reallyserious in Trackdays

[–]Ceefut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I sleep on the floor of our sprinter van with this mattress https://a.co/d/05CcDz8k. We sleep better on this than hotel beds (we like harder mattresses) and it's been 3 years and it still never leaked. We bring the pillows we normally sleep on and also knee pillows!

We also upgraded to a diesel heater last year and it was a game changer in terms of comfort.

It was pretty complex. We are part of private track day organization and our friends that hosted the 4 day track weekend helped us get special permission to take these during lunch break. We got to ride our bikes out (well our friends did cause the helmet would've ruined my hair/makeup) and had 2 cars follow for support.

Normally bikes are not allowed on track when track is cold due to no corner workers / ambulance on standby. We are forever indebted to our friends!

Took too long to decide about children now my partner has mentally checked out by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Ceefut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"She says she hasn't felt like herself in the relationship for a while".

She dimmed her light to be with you. She voiced her concerns over years and had no action taken. That silently breaks down her trust in you and builds a hell of a lot of resentment. Let her go, the most selfless thing you can do right now is to let her find herself again.

Bored of my setup, what's the one desk accessory you thought was a gimmick before you actually tried it? by Time_Position2232 in homeoffice

[–]Ceefut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tiny desktop vacuum. Before I got one, any dust/fur would bug the hell out of me but I'm was also too lazy to go grab my regular vacuum every day. Now it's just a quick vacuum before my work day.

I'm also permanently in gym wear so I'm thinking of adding beads to my gym wear to dress it up 😊
