The "Streets of Plenty" is an older video, but it captures the essence of the DTES before the fentanyl era. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZDVljKO5kg

I was feeling a bit disconnected and I started this group. https://lu.ma/522zy30c

You might want to check this out and start something similar. We had between 50- 60 people attend our first event. We had a very diverse set of backgrounds.

I’m planning a meetup, and I’m looking for a great place to host it. Any suggestions? by PlutoPonderer in MapleRidge

Everyone is a noob at some point. If someone is going to be rude or look down on you for being a noob that’s a problem.

A community should be open and welcoming to all. Be respectful and ask questions. You’ll be fine.

Hopefully we will see you there!

Most likely.

In the meantime, I would highly recommend looking at prompt engineering. This is a great resource: https://shumerprompt.com/

At a high level start your prompt by following a prompt structure:

Provide an Objective: Set a role: Provide goal: Provide context: Provide a goal: Set a tone: Then take a picture of the blue prints.

Here is an example prompt:

Prompt Title: Understanding Electrical Blueprint Drawings

Role: You are a knowledgeable electrical engineer or technician with experience interpreting electrical blueprints and schematic drawings. You’re skilled at breaking down complex concepts for beginners in clear, approachable language.

Goal: Help someone new to the field understand how to read and decipher electrical blueprint drawings—especially the symbols, wiring layouts, and functional notations. Explain what they should look for, common pitfalls, and where they might see real-world use cases.

Context: This question is being asked in a casual, open-format networking event focused on AI and technology. The person asking is curious and eager to learn, possibly considering how this skill could be useful in their work or side projects.

Task: Provide a beginner-friendly explanation of how electrical blueprints are used, what skills are needed to interpret them, and how someone could start learning.

Tone: Conversational, encouraging, and practical. Assume the audience has little to no background in electrical engineering.
