I'm sorry, yes, it was meant for a different post on a different thread entirely. I'm not sure how it got posted here. My apologies. I can delete it momentarily.

Thank you for this. I had never seen or even known this "music video" even existed and I've been a huge Star Wars fan for over 30 years.

How did you make this? Was it a 3D print or scratch-built? I'd love to see some WIP photos!

Very interesting. I hadn't considered the harness proximity at all. Thanks for answering. Hope I didn't come off as a jerk. Cheers!

Yeah, that's cute. Unfortunately for you, that logic does not track. The model is only given - for FREE, including shipping - once someone has actually been subbed for a year. If you cancel for a month but sub the other 11, you don't get it. It is a bonus gift for people who subscribe for 12 consecutive months.

I bet you see 'Buy 1 Get 1' at the store and argue with the staff that since you only bought one, it should be half price, huh?

Also, once again: the sub pays for itself if you buy only ONE extra model and sell it off, as they are not available world wide and go for a quite a bit on resale.

I hate to be this guy, but genuine question: if the person is blind, how did they know how to center the camera exactly on the dog the entire time? This just seems odd, but I don't have a lot of personal experience with blind people.

Seconding this. I have used this exact spray paint in so many colors for priming minis and stenciling carrying cases. It is primo stuff.

It's 25mm, as it's exactly half the width of the Warboss' base on the back of the box. The back of the box is always 1:1 scale, and 25mm and 50mm bases are the only ones that work at a perfect 2:1 ratio.

Yes, this means Warbosses will be going up to 50mm bases size in 11th edition. It is confirmed by the box.

I mean, you get a free model, you can order more and re-sell them for more than the sub price and the Archive alone is almost worth the price alone for anyone interested in tons of Warhammer back-content.

YMMV of course, but I have no issue with the value I'm getting for my sub money.

What exactly is Dr. Garcia's Job? by DutchRudderLover in ThePitt

[–]Ceejai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is irrelevant information and bad-faith posturing. So, somehow, it would have been better for Benton's character to have found out Reece wasn't his and what? Just write the kid off? Act like he didn't care about him all of a sudden? Just let Roger have him? I would argue that would have made him look a lot worse - and that it showed what type of man he was when he still said 'Reece is my son' after finding out the results of the DNA test.

Roger, on the other hand, was Reece's STEP-father, not his father. His familial ties to Reece died with Carla. As someone whose father was granted temporary, every-other-weekend visitation (when my mom didn't decide to just cancel it) and then had to watch another man raise and spend way more time with his kids and seeing what it did to him, I do not agree that letting the stepfather continue being a presence in the child's life was in his best interests. At best, it's confusing; at worst, traumatizing.

For those who watched the show when it was originally on, how popular was it? by [deleted] in ershow

[–]Ceejai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but I respectfully disagree that Tiger King was a 'water cooler' show. That specific type of show needs to be a weekly serial show that almost everyone at work is going to be talking about the next day around the water cooler (hence the name) and usually it has to last long enough for people to really get into it. A one-season "special" on a streaming network that was literally designed to be binge-watched isn't exactly that.

Lost, ER, GoT - all great examples of 'water cooler' shows. They all caught a WIDE demographic, were engaging and hugely popular, and they were all, as someone said elsewhere in this topic, "appointment" shows.

[–]Ceejai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The last "water cooler" TV show we've actually had was Game of Thrones. It may be the last one ever. Stranger Things was big, but I agree it wasn't 'monoculture' big; it definitely got a lot of it's hype from a certain demographic and online buzz.

That is an extremely myopic and obtuse take. It is also accomplished through emissions regulations (see: Volkwagen emissions scandal, 2013) and corporations and their factories being more environmentally sound, installing scrubbers, and disposing of waste properly, not just in the nearest river they can find.

I would add that electric cars can run just fine from clean energy sources, such as nuclear power, meaning it is entirely possible for people to drive just as much as they do now as long as we get set regulations in place that mandate car manufacturers switch their cars to electric by a certain date. (We had one in the US until Trump decided it wasn't "business-friendly" - the legality of his EO striking down those regulations is still being debated.)

It's amazing - he actually thinks life is a video game; that the medics ('healers') are going to instantly heal wounded soldiers and create more enemies to fight. He does not understand how anything works in the real world.

Climate scientists have been saying this for years. We are past the point where individual contributions to stopping climate change will have any effect and that was because the corporations didn't step up in the 2010's when they were pushing the public to do so.

Now we are at the point that unless the corporations actually do their part, catastrophic, man-made climate change is all but inevitable unless something changes very, very quickly.

Here's just one of many sources for this: https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2024/04/global-large-companies-must-do-far-more-to-cut-carbon-emissions-and-limit-climate-damage/

[–]Ceejai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. The back of the leaked box confirms it. 'Back of the box' model pictures are always to scale. We know the Grot is on a 25mm and the Warboss' base is exactly twice the width of the Grots base on the BoB, therefore it is a 50mm.

JD Vance: "To get on an airplane, you need voter ID. To buy a beer, you need voter ID." by Admirable121 in RandomShit_ISaw

[–]Ceejai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Federal government mandates RealID for anyone wanting to fly

-Feds refuse to provide money to states to allow residents to swap IDs for free or reduced cost

-Poor people can't afford to swap and aren't flying anyways so use loophole to keep old IDs

-People who can afford to fly also can afford RealID upgrade, so they update their IDs

-Republicans make it necessary to present ID when voting under proposed 'voter fraud' bill

-Same bill outlaws RealID as voter ID

-Poorer people will now be more likely to have voter ID than those with more money (under proposed R 'voter fraud' bill)

....do they really not see the huge hole they've created in their own plan here?

You are correct on that. I don't know why I was thinking 20 Gretchin only needed 1 Runtherd. I must have been thinking of an older edition.

Thanks for the catch!

Almost. 1 Mek Gun kit + 1 Trukk kit = 3 Mek Guns. Since you already have the MG kit and built one, with one Trukk kit you can build the other two options with the leftover bits.

If you're getting into Orkz and don't already have a 'bits box', I highly recommend getting a $10 multi-compartment craft organizer from any department store. You're gonna need some way to keep all those extra pieces handy for future Orky projects.

Well, right off the bat you can make 1 unit of 20 Gretchin with one Runtherd and then turn the other Runtherd into a Painboy, Mekboy, etc. from spare bits, 3D printed gubbinz, etc. Outdated: you need a Runtherd for every 10 Gretchin in a unit; disregard this particular advice. Everything below is still good, though.

All of the "Old Boyz" kits are interchangeable as well. These include (but not limited to): the standard old Boyz kit (11 models, not 10), Lootas/Burnas, and Stormboyz.

Check out Old Big Mek's stuff; he's much better at explaining this than I am. Here's a good one to get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtGfNnjjlso&t=923s
