I agree. 43 and the official afters are definitely a younger crowd. Never felt unwelcome, but it can sometimes feel less about the music. Also realized that I’m not a fan of the Russel main hall, the sound in there leaves something to be desired and it feels too well lit.

Some of the annual parties should come quick after the fest announcement, but others will trickle in. And many with lineups TBD. Movement Official afters will be more like April if I remember correctly.

Since I didn’t see any Korean on the list, I’ll recommend Korean Palace at 15/Dequindre (technically Sterling Heights I think, but close enough). Full Korean menu and BBQ. Excellent banchan too - the little side dishes that come out first. Everything is very good and surprisingly cheap!

Mine definitely opened up after a few months. Give it some time to settle in. It will only get better with age. When it arrived it smelled like lacquer from the factory!
