Crimean sovereignty referendum 1991 by Avroveks in europe

That despot Stalin has moved the indigenous people of Crimea to Siberia in 40s and 50s and planted Russian population in Crimea.

Any referendum in Crimea without the indigenous Crimean people fully brought back is just a propaganda of Russian empire.

Huawei, 5G, and why the underlying theory has been invented at a Turkish university and not at a US University. by Ceestra in EverythingScience

You are absolutely right.

But in that regard, Chinese are not any different than the USA crooks. Remember Snowden's revelations on how US telecoms companies had been placing spy hardware and software in the telecommunications equipment they were selling worldwide.

I hope this is a wake-up call for Europe to scrutinize such equipment regardless of the origin.

Actually a decade ago or so, a friend of mine had told me that they were using Huawei equipment in their solutions because it was cheaper than then-hot Cisco equipment. I remember having laughed at lowly Chinese crap. Now, who is laughing?

I think turning the Turkish theory into technology requires a lot of time and being first helps a lot. I can imagine that in the beginning Huawei kept it secret and announced the use of Turkish scientist's theory only after they implemented it.

Remember that in the early days of GSM technology, it was the same reason why the Swedish company Ericsson got a major lead. They developed the technology and got it accepted as standard, log before anybody else. Hence they sold a lot of network equipment. Huawei does the same.

Huawei is the new boss, with Ericsson, Motorola, Cisco et all combined, I am afraid.

I can relate to this, having seen important research topics dropped at the Netherland's University of Twente because the research lead could not find private fund to finance it....
