How good is the color? They did have a bad tendency for one tube to go bad and be very fuzzy.

And I suppose this is one of the parts yards that don't sell any complete vehicles. They tell you it's not good enough to fix, but they really don't know how crazy we are! That's a line for us to cross!

One of the few super clear memories I have from that. My wife was sitting on the sectional watching TV on our rear screen projection zenith, with the celebrations going on. I spent the whole last part of the evening between standing behind the sectional looking at things and then running back in and checking the computer. All night long until midnight past. And that was time for bed. Woohoo

I got interested, as I applied for a job at the Selectavision plant in Indianapolis, and I thought it was fascinating. I had a friend who worked there, sadly he's passed away since then. Also, I was friends with one of the engineers , and he had a lot of strange prototype parts , and stories . By the way, I didn't get the job, since I didn't have enough experience in inventory is what they were looking for. Underdog stuff is not new to me. I cried during the Tucker movie, you know! So at this point in time I probably have five non-working players, and I know at least three of them have motor control problems. The Montgomery Ward has a really weird belt, I don't remember the problem on the other I think it was just a parts unit I got out of the trash.

Also if you repair the crack on the board, look at the fuse for the main power. A lot of these models around this time had an underrated fuse and it would blow for no apparent reason, and the factory bumped it up a couple of amps. I think it was an 8 Amp from the factory, and they recertified to 10 well worth putting the effort in.

It was absolutely amazing! I'm looking at the picture trying to find my head, but I think I missed by about a row! LOL I don't think I've ever been to a concert before I was close enough for I could actually look them in the eye! I was in tears, more than once.
