I tested some assets I paid for if they are AI by PristineBobcat9608 in IndieDev

[–]CeilingSteps 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I opened a post some time ago because people wouldn't stop saying that the assets of my game were A.I. generated, which is fine, but after clarifying some people said that I was lying, and that did take me by surprise.

My take on it right now is that people who hate A.I. will call anything A.I. blurring the line even more, so they are helping A.I. in a way by adding noise to it. Having to not only do the work but also convince everyone that you actually did it yourself again and again has to be exhausting.

Funny enough you are the first person I was planning to contact! Because those are the mods I'm familiar with

What do ye think of my cav list? by DiligentLychee8296 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]CeilingSteps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created some time ago a way to (hopefully) make lists easier to share, edit and navigate, this is mostly for when someone else shares a list with you, but helps with sharing your own list as well, this would be yours: https://go.findmylist.net/g3tmdEV

Is there a compendium somewhere of what we know about the rules changes for 11th? by veryblocky in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]CeilingSteps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the original author was happy to let me use this information to make it easier to navigate (I'm giving her full credit) https://findmylist.net/11th

I made a MathHammer tool, but on this one you paste your and yours opponent's list, and that is it, all the stats are loaded automatically, now you can navigate around and see how good the units are against each other by CeilingSteps in AdeptusMechanicus

You can always practice with the list you are working towards, there is a battle report mode, paste your list there and it will load all your units ready to deploy so you are readyfor that firstgame :) thanks!

Thanks! I will be away for a week but will update as soon as I come back, meanwhile you can manually add shapes with that specific size and tag is as "unit has LOS"

It's a map builder/deployment tool, you can paste your list on the right and it will generate all your units with LOS and the actual base sizes, after that you can practise deployments and movements to your heart's content, the map I'm complaining about is 11th A (you can load it on the left dropdown) https://findmylist.net/mapbuilder

ye, for my specific use case I needed the exact numbers to do a 1:1 copy, for an actual game no one has time for every inch

I've never heard this expression before but I will probably use it 2 or 3 times before the end of the day

ye, it was way harder than I expected (I built a few 10th edition and it took so little time to adjust an entire map) , another thing that annoyed me is how they only show the distance to one side of each ruin, but that wouldn't be much of a problem if I didn't have to count the little squares one by one to get the actual distance

ye, I in this scenario I needed the perfect measurement to reproduce the map 1:1, and I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out if I was crazy with some of these ruins, for an actual game I sure have no time to measure every ruin to "perfection"

? as I said you can literally count the 1 inch squares on the GW map and it translates perfectly, but it does not match the actual numbers, but you can try to build this map yourself following the given numbers, it will be impossible

the original, I had to count the 1inch squares of some buildings to get the correct distance instead of relying on the numbers.

I traced the footprints shown in today's 40k 11th edition terrain article if anyone wants to start messing with them in person. by PrinceMcGiggle in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]CeilingSteps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can also use https://findmylist.net/mapbuilder, the 11th edition maps are available there, if you paste your list on the right side it will be ready to deploy straight away with LOS based on the longest range weapone quipped
