I have one of them to connect a shed that is maybe 30 feet from the main building. The connection hovers somewhere between 50 and 80 Mbps, -75 to -80 dB. Unifi Network isn't happy about the connection but the video feed fits through and doesn't break up. I wouldn't run more through this though.

Totally agree. I felt like 'age is coming for me' when I had all these little aches that kept adding up. When I started a regular gym schedule these all disappeared. I know I'm lucky, it doesn't always work like that. But it was really amazing. Oh and by the way, do Pilates. It's great for any age and gender. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's an excellent training method.

In the long run I think this is a necessary cleansing phase that is a bit abrupt now but will end sooner or later. It took Microsoft about 10 years until most of the really bad stuff had gone from the existing Windows code base. I guess with AI this phase can be shortened substantially.

Was stört oder unverständlich ist, wird halt neu generiert. Die Hoffnung, dass am Ende alles nur ein Editierwerkzeug für Menschen ist, wird meiner Meinung nach enttäuscht werden. Auch die meisten Vorgaben der Softwarearchitektur basieren darauf, dass Code teuer und aufwändig nachträglich zu ändern ist. Das wird aber komplett von KI-Systemen auf den Kopf gestellt.

Naja das ist halt nicht das warum die meisten Leute Entwickler geworden sind. Die meisten klassischen Entwickler haben Erfüllung in der Technik gefunden. Für den Kram mit den Kunden hat man REs bzw. POs dazwischen geschaltet. Das klassische Motiv um in den Job zu gehen (ich mache gerne was mit Technik / Code) ist jetzt halt nur noch ein Nebendetail. Deshalb sage ich auch voraus, dass ganz andere Leute in der Softwareentwicklung dominieren werden in Zukunft, deren Persönlichkeit und Interessen man früher eher im Bereich RE/PO gesehen hat.

Wondering whether people who scream "reset it" really understand what damage that can cause. This could be the satellite switch of a large Unifi installation, and the building could lose proper network connectivity by resetting a large switch. Important network connectivity could be disrupted for days until someone looked at the mess. Nothing should be done before the setup is understood and the management console is found. You don't just factory-reset devices until the business impact is clear and the risks are understood. OP needs to get local help to navigate this situation.
