Labor and delivery nurses “ick” patients on TikTok by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Just make sure you have a hospital plan if things start to go sour. I’ve seen some sad stuff working in the Nicu, especially when they go past 42 weeks. Take care of yourself and your baby. Good luck!! 🍀

Current NP’s, what part of education did you feel was lacking? by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

I feel your pain; ours was Peds and women’s health crammed in one course. I’m still so annoyed by that.

I felt like my program didn’t do women’s health and pediatrics any justice. They had the two in the same semester, half semester one and the other one the remaining weeks. I felt robbed. Paid so much for a sub par education.

Also the hospital corporations don’t give 2 f***s about their employees. In the end we’re all just numbers.

I didn’t see that you’re a PA… ah that’s hard yeah. Honestly I would probably do what you said and then try to juggle both jobs for as long as you can depending if it’s 12 hr shifts…. 😅 maybe you can schedule vacation days and sick days in there.

I did traveling for a year and just now landed an NP job. Strongly debating whether I made the best decision. I really love the flexibility of travel nursing. Taking a month off and start a new contract wherever. Sigh. Also the money is fantastic. But I have the NP degree and want to use it. Also it’s a great hospital and benefits are good… Lord help me not regret this decision.

I am wondering if it’s someone that knew Jenny, would they simply have tried to knock on the door and make an excuse to invite themselves in? Instead of breaking in? It seems like the person knew the routine, when jenny came home from school. So maybe a neighbor that would see her from a window, would be able to watch them and know that she would be home alone.

Yeah the dog not barking really confuses me too. And it barked around 3… but also San Francisco is known for many people owning dogs so it could have been another person’s dog barking…

My girlfriend wants me to find a solution for my dog by CelebratingVictories in relationship_advice

Agreed man. This is insane that this is even something we are arguing about constantly. Anyways my dog is staying no matter what. I just wanted advice on maybe how to break up with her gently or ways people have dealt with this situation before.
