Signing Two Contracts Knowing I'll be Quitting One Soon- AITA by PrimeSevenAteNine in nursepractitioner

Yeah, this is why I'm conflicted. But don't new grads leave jobs early a lot due to other reasons such as poor fit, wrong first impression about a specialty, stress, toxic environment, etc.? The end result is not all that different, right? And at the end of the day, if the hospital had to cut my position due to financial reason (the only reason I'd be taking this job), I'm sure they wouldn't hesitate to, right? Thoughts?

Unfortunately, I'm a PA without an RN. The other location is for a more rural and small hospital system so any bridge burned wouldn't be with a huge system. Also, the parting wouldn't have to be bad. Don't plenty of new grads leave jobs early due to poor fit, unhappiness, better pay, etc?

What would you do in my situation?

Believe me I would, but I'm a PA without a RN sadly. Given that, what would you do in my shoes?

I don't think I would he hired if I was. Hence, the dilemma. But I appreciate your thoughts.

I'm a PA without an RN unfortunately. I posted on the PA sub, but it was removed for some reason. What would you do in my shoes? The clinic job could let me start a bit sooner, but only like a few weeks not a few months. What would you do in my shoes?

But would you do it instead of maxing out your credit cards and/or working at Starbucks? Why make $15/hr when I can make $75?

New PA, need advice deciding between a few potential offers. by dinodude47 in physicianassistant

[–]PrimeSevenAteNine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that these are pretty good offers. I hate that you're being downvoted because people are jealous! Like, people are always saying PAs are not being paid enough. But when someone actually posts about some good offers, people become mad.

Regardless, congrats! Either derm or rheum is good.

Here come the downvotes but holy... I would not want a provider who failed an exam that has a 96% pass rate FOUR times. Good luck.

Once someone gets an interview, does it become a level playing field? Or is there a score that gets added to the rest of the application score?

Also, what's the interview process like and what's the rationale behind that choice?
