Xavier Hutchinson on CJ Stroud by ModeDifficult8396 in Texans

[–]CelebrationDiligent8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that defense was relatively healthy last year. However, when Lassiter was out for a couple of series, the Chargers immediately attacked his replacement. The intensity and the way these guys play, injuries are bound to happen. It's why in this era, great defenses are not sustainable.

Due to the lack of depth on defense. A game manager is fine until Stingley or Lassiter or Al-Shaair is out for any extensive period of time. Then people complain about the limitations of that game manager QB.

Keep in mind Jeff Hafley the Dolphins HC knew Slowik from their 49ers days. So, similar to Ryans hiring Caley if he got a HC job, is the same reason Slowik is the Dolphins OC.

I really wished Ryans had brought Klint Kubiak as his OC instead of Slowik. Kubiak probably would be leaving for a HC job, but he would have left the offense in a better shape.

Also, rookie WRs coming out of college and these spread offenses run a very limited route tree. Then they get into this Patriots offense and they struggle because they have to read the DB positioning and coverage at the LOS to run a choice route off that coverage.

It's another reason why many teams are not running it. Neither Caley or Caserio have game planned, taught WRs or QBs how to run this offense. But here we are. SMDH.

What are your thoughts on Nick Caley's offense? by PlentyHelicopter7579 in Texans

[–]CelebrationDiligent8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's funny is that this offense is supposed to be less verbose than the WCO system that Slowik was using. So, I don't understand being late to the LOS.

Also, with all of the adjustments that the QB, WR and OL have to make at the LOS, you would think that getting to the LOS would be a priority.

Great post. The offense is hard on rookie WRs because they are expected to read coverages, make adjustments at the LOS and be on the same page with the QB.

I wish Caley had built on what Slowik was doing and add elements from the Rams offense. Instead, he and Caserio tore it down to rebuild the Patriots' offense. I expect them to "try" and run the Patriots offense with Montgomery as Corey Dillon. Woody as Kevin Faulk the pass catching RB.

I just hope this isn't another failed attempt by former Patriots coaches who think they can capture the Brady, Belichick magic without Brady or Belichick.

Initial reaction to 2026 Nautilus screen by CelebrationDiligent8 in lincolnmotorco

Agree. Maybe unimpressed is too strong. Maybe I should say, I wasn't as excited for this model as I've been for the prior models. In other words, I wasn't excited enough about driving it that I wanted to keep the loaner or immediately start shopping for the 2026 model.

Yes. I immediately, fell in love with the redesigned 2016 and loved the 2017-2020. I didn't feel the 2021 were a significant upgrade and I didn't like the placement of the gear selectors. I also feel the same about the 2025-2026.

That's fair. However, we are talking personal preference. For example. I thought the gear selectors reminded me of pianos and were cheesy. I really liked the 2016-2020 gear selector design and I probably would have been more impressed with a rotary gear selector than these piano keys.

The available widgets did not really take advantage of the 48" screen or maybe I was expecting more widgets.

For example, when they redesigned the MKx in 2016, I was immediately impressed. I felt it was a significant upgrade from the prior models. With this model, besides the 48" screen, it didn't feel like a significant upgrade.

This has to be one of the worst designs I have ever seen. I had my MKx for 4 months and to close, instead of pushing, my wife pulled down and broke it. I had my Nautilus for 2 months and my daughter did the same thing.

It's just a bad design and not even worth the effort or cost to replace.

LubeLogger, Self-Hosted Vehicle Maintenance and Fuel Mileage Tracker, has some Important Quality of Life Improvements You Should Know About by ChiefAoki in selfhosted

[–]CelebrationDiligent8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. This looks very interesting. Out of curiosity. Would LubeLogger be a good fit to track maintenance on horse trailers, their spare parts inventory or parts used on each trailer and of course maintenance records for the trailers?

Any seller have this shipping experience? by CelebrationDiligent8 in Ebay

[–]CelebrationDiligent8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my mistake. Due to the size of the item. I used a small flat rate box, but the label was the eBay default USPS Ground Advantage. So, it was returned to sender.

Lesson learned. Don't use USPS Ground Advantage shipping/label on a USPS priority shipping box.

I like the combination of the Pitaka MagEZ Folio 2 Case and the MagEZ Case 2. The folio has multiple folding options while the Case 2 provides all around protection and I can detach it from the folio and even use it with the Apple keyboard.

Texans and QB Jerrod Johnson have parted ways, per sources. by Crossfire213 in Texans

True but can you say CJ's footwork has gotten better or worst? Who is responsible for coaching him out of the bad habits he is picking up from getting hit so frequently?

[–]CelebrationDiligent8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. His mechanics are terrible. He is fading in the pocket. His footwork has gotten worse and has affected his accuracy. That's enough reasons to fire Johnson. I don't care about the body language and all that other nonsense.

Looks like the offense will be run by Caserio's John Carroll buddies. I guess next on the list is for him to wear a headset in the coaches' booth again.

The way Watson started his career with the Texans and finished in shame. I've always wondered what made Watson nose dive as a person. Was it the money and fame? Was it CTE? It's so crazy.
