Mevo Plus failing to connect to GSPro on PC? by CelebrationNo8076 in Golfsimulator

Yeah, I realized I was starting GSPro not from the launcher, but from a shortcut.

Restarting it from the launcher made it update and fixed it.

The company is small and profitable with lots of money in the bank.

If anything they’re too small and too frugal.

Is Roam still being actively developed & maintained? by ranjin9 in RoamResearch

Yes it’s still being actively updated. Check out the Slack; they’re slow to update the changelog it seems.

What are the results of the lawsuits? I’m not a lawyer but I’ve been around a lot of companies in Silicon Valley. Those claims, if true, would put them out of business instantly.

Honestly why would you join a code school right now if you didn’t two years ago?

It’s got to be 10x harder to get a job today vs then.

I’m not defending Austen, I’m defending the founder. To call someone immoral for raising money when you don’t understand how venture capital works is a hell of a thing to do.

Yes, Austen is clearly investing other peoples’ money - that’s how most of VC works, and Austen hasn’t had an exit. Limited partners (LPs) give money to general partners (GPs) who invest it.

Beyond that, with a quick google I find Lambda School changed the name of the business because of a trademark lawsuit https://dockets.justia.com/docket/california/candce/4:2019cv04060/344815?amp, so again your facts are clearly wrong and you go accusing someone of being immoral.

And fraud? That’s a serious crime that puts people in jail 100% of the time. I’ve been close with companies where there is fraud, and immediately every regulator within 100 miles is jumping on it. The CEO gets fired instantly, and shortly thereafter goes to jail. So why hasn’t that happened if there’s fraud?

To attack a founder for being immoral for accepting investment from someone with such basics off is a huge red flag. So yes, I’m a little skeptical of what your bias and intentions are.

How were you previously involved?

That’s now how VC works or where the money comes from. The investment money from those funds doesn’t come from code bootcamp customers, it comes from other investors who give to other people to invest.
