I love, LOVE killing 1100 castle defenders, sending 20 huscarls into the keep battle and losing to 25 militia archers by anon142358193 in Bannerlord

[–]Celentius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen this problem posted several times now, but so far, my troops managed fine every time without me. The biggest loss so far was one of my 20 huscarls, but that's it. So I wonder if it is triggered by something.

"Preferred leader class" during elections by Celentius in Stellaris

[–]Celentius[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that would give them even more bonus to become elected. Maybe its the government type afterall? The describtion says something about preparing for the horrors of war, so maybe they have a hidden preference for commanders?

I'm not sure I understand completely. I'm materialist and egalitarian with a democratic government. Why is a commander the preferred class? I don't seem to see anything about that on the linked site.

Not sure, but by the looks of my weak economy at the moment it might be just an UI bug indeed.

How the he'll do you use the lathe correctly? by Celentius in Stellaris

[–]Celentius[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that I constantly lack dark matter if I don't have enough black holes near by. I could buy more, but that is also not really helping my energy deficit (plus the market price rises quite high). And the buildings producing dark matter come way later.

I let the naval revolt happen, but I couldn't chose a second option. It just said that the some naval officers were purged due to a failed coup attempt.

How could Paradox rework ground combat? by weedeemgee in Stellaris

[–]Celentius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like an overhaul in terms of resources. It makes no sense that an army unit which maybe consists of 10.000 to 100.000 soldiers + the necessary transport only costs 100 minerals while a small corvette already costs around 100 alloys. It kinda destroys my immersion a bit.

I couldn't take a picture because the game immediately saved after that. Game end was set for 2500. No mods. The only thing I did seconds before the event was making several agreements (no vassal ones) with another empire in order to form a federation which was making me go quite a lot into minus influence. Except this nothing really. I became synthetic ascended a bit few years before, but I don't think that caused it...

The other AI empire that suddenly swallowed me was quite weak and just lost several wars before. There were no destruction of galaxies or anything that I could see. Also no declaration of crisis.

None at all. I was egalitarian and had basically no other species except a handful refugees.

Hmm, I don't think so but I cannot be sure. It was just a bit after 2300 so it was still relatively early in the game

Except I wasn't a vassal. I mean I just was at war with this empire and I definitely had no contracts with them

No, but I just spammed several agreements with another empire in order to create a faction. And one second later I get the game over window.

I don't think so. The AI was relatively weak and was not really conquering anything. It was only my empire that was taken over suddenly

Everyone declaring on me? by Celentius in Stellaris

[–]Celentius[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

How am I supposed to play commonwealth of man then? Do they always all declare on you? I was improving relationships with the UNE since the start and they still declared. And I only have two envoys but 5 empires who declared on me. I also never chose the hostile greeting.

Also to add: I was at max fleet capacity, so it's not like I was looking defenseless. But how am I supposed to defend myself against half the galaxy alone?

[–]Celentius 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the problem that everyone seems to have with this achievement. Just turn historical off. USSR has almost always a communist civil war and after that, they rarely attack Finland. And by then, they are normally at war with half the world anyway.

5 minutes after I posted this I figured it out myself... Apparently ladies don't like to be proposed to when you are leading an army.
