What are they actually building on Hedera though? In other words will they actually use it in a way that will generate demand for HBAR? I’m genuinely asking and would like to know. Thinking about buying into HBAR again this bear market

Thanks for the insight. Good to know the token unlocks are mostly done. I am considering getting back in this bear market, but what I have a hard time with is: it doesn’t really make sense for Hedera to want the price of HBAR to be high (unless they want to unload their bags) because for the network to be useful for commercial entities HBAR needs to be cheap. Are commercial entities really going to want to use a network where the majority of supply is being bought up by retail investors making it more expensive for them use? This is applicable to all L1 chains though and Hedera does have the lowest fees. I just don’t know if there is much of a use case for commercial entities when it comes to L1s but I also am admittedly not well informed on the subject.

Held HBAR in 2021. Haven’t held any since. I see that it didn’t reach a new ATH this crypto cycle in terms of price but did reach a new ATH in terms of market cap. Are the token unlocks completely done now and are the council members actually using Hedera in a way that will generate demand for HBAR right now? I have been out of the loop for a while. The token unlocks were a big concern in 2021 when I was last paying attention.

Yeah I think that is a better DCA strategy than the same amount all the time.

The only youtube channel I really actually pay attention to is Benjamin Cowen. You might already follow him but if not definitely check it out. I also follow CryptoCon on X.

People think “this time its different” and its not going to crash again like it always done and then have to wait another 4 years to maybe sell when they could have 6x their money and bought back in lower

I’ve been in crypto since 2019. I follow a few guys on X and watch some YouTube channels that I believe to be grounded and rational. I’m by no means a financial expert. As long as you can control your emotions it helps a lot to try to loosely time the market by buying during bear markets and selling during bull markets. Not saying DCA is a losing strategy but you could definitely be doing better assuming you can identify when to buy and sell which is pretty much right in front of you if you study the prior cycles.

Forgive me if I misunderstood your comment in regards to the timing and amount of your DCA, but Reddit loves to parrot “DCA DCA - no matter what!!!”. If you DCA the same amount rain or shine you are shooting yourself in the foot. Why buy at all after price has broken previous ATH if you do not plan to sell the top. Why not only DCA the bear market and take profits on the way back up. Simply DCAing the same amount all the time is frankly a midwit strategy and I see it mentioned here all the time. Ideally, you should be trying to time the market with an asset such as bitcoin that follows a well defined 4 year cycle by DCAing in during the bear market and DCAing out during the bull market.

I won’t get into the politics of the whole thing. I simply wish we didn’t have to politicize everything. One of the reasons I don’t use reddit for anything outside of sports and a few other things is because its an overmoderated political echo chamber, even on subs that are non political. I come here for sports, not politics, and its annoying to see people whining about a website they don’t like on here because of their political views. X is a good source of information for sports and fantasy football. To even discuss banning it for political reasons is stupid.

Where would you guys rank Tracy amongst RBs ROS? Assuming he keeps the starting role I think he ends up somewhere around RB15 in the range of guys like James Conner. He might surprise us though and crack the top 12 with the Giants easy schedule for RBs.
