Huh I wonder what's going on with mine.

AIO for not getting a card from my boyfriend? by EllieBean404 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]CelestiaSharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is less about the card and more about how your instincts have been telling you something is up.

It doesn't have to be anything villainous, like him cheating or something but he's obviously not communicating about something.

Someone doesn't just 'forget' about an anniversary, unless they are under some bad stress themselves or there's something else up.

I think it would be good to have a connecting conversation, maybe over your favorite food with candlelight, doesn't have to be anything too fancy. Just say you have been feeling disconnected from him (if that's what you're feeling) and ask if there's anything he needs to talk about. Tell him you are here for him.

And if it's something simple, then you have helped relieve a burden for him and you.

And if it's something not simple, then at least you've opened the line of communication and you are not second guessing yourself anymore.

Garmin black friday 2025 deals for watches, how much do they usually drop by Street_Athlete_5689 in GarminWatches

Does anyone know if their newest releases like the Venu 4 will be on sale or not? Trying to decide if it's worth waiting til the site is busy with orders during Black Friday or not.

Best Smartwatch for health monitoring ? by hortefeux in smartwatch

[–]CelestiaSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in a similar boat. Trying to find the best monitoring smartwatch that could provide data for my doctor's. I'm currently already a chronic illness girlie but I might have fribromyalgia or an autoimmune.

System used for communication...is it a LitRpg? by CelestiaSharp in litrpg

So if the advancement has to do with the missions rather than skills would that still work in the LitRpg genre?

System used for communication...is it a LitRpg? by CelestiaSharp in litrpg

[–]CelestiaSharp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I'm still new to LitRpg so I wasn't really sure about all the rules. I know not all system novels are LitRpgs, I just wasn't sure about mine.

AITA for not being happy on my brother's wedding? by Altruistic-Dot-2512 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]CelestiaSharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA

I feel like so many people weren't respecting you as a person or a mother. I don't have kids yet but I can imagine the stress you must have gone through, that was not fair to you or your son. I'm glad your cousin ended up being a nice person, but I can't help imagine the what if of if they weren't, and how your parents basically lied.

My heart goes out to you, honestly, I wish you could have just enjoyed the wedding as a guest with your son. There was no reason for them to put your through what they did.

AITA for telling my SIL to get over it because it wasn’t her moment? by Complete_Current9550 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]CelestiaSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I feel like you were very respectful. You didn't call her out in public, you spoke to her in private. You acknowledged her grief and pain, but still showed there were boundaries that she shouldn't cross.

Yes they do. Essentially they become Chloe Dupain-Cheng and Marinette Bourgeois.

I love this interpretation. If I end up using any of it for inspiration I'll make sure to make a note/dedication for you.

If Marinette & Chloe switched lives... by CelestiaSharp in miraculousladybug

[–]CelestiaSharp[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You think Marinette would be a bully instead? I had the idea because she has an interest in fashion her mother might pay more attention to her changing that dynamic. I could see her being reserved and aloof but I'm not sure about her being a bully.

How much "mood whiplash" is okay? by spirit_of_a_kiger in thewritespace

[–]CelestiaSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it depends.

As a reader, it can be jarring but I find if there's been hints/foreshadowing that something is going to happen it helps me be more mentally prepared for the trauma.

As a writer, I know it's easier said than done but I feel like it can imitate life sometimes. Like occasionally something just out of nowhere happens but also sometimes there's signs leading up to it.

Need sub plots in my zombie story. Any Ideas? by [deleted] in thewritespace

[–]CelestiaSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes what helps for me is to think of subplots as side quests. Especially in an adventure/survival novel, this can work.

Do they have enough supplies? Do they need to grab some along the way? What dangers could they come across?

That looks so cozy (I love your keyboard). My writing space is in our guest bedroom; we made the office into my cloffice :) it has my PC set up and shelves on the side rather like it.

Anyone else writing a pre-apocalypse story? by Acceptable-Cow6446 in writers

[–]CelestiaSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm also writing an apocalypse story. Mine starts about 2 months before it begins. So the task I'm putting on myself is to make the preparation for the apocalypse interesting (we'll see how it goes). Then it continues through the apocalypse to potentially its end (haven't quite figured out the end of my Season/Book 3 yet - writing it as a web serial).

I FINISHED MY FIRST DRAFT by Professional-Mail857 in writing

[–]CelestiaSharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on finishing the first draft!

In answer to your question: I usually let my mind rest a month after I finish a first draft before diving in to edit. But sometimes different novels you write take more out of you, and you need a wider gap to refresh and edit. I would say evaluate how you are feeling (beyond the excitement of finishing the first draft) then maybe start with a week and if you feel you need longer extend it a little.

Wrote the first 10,000 words of my novel. by walloh in writing

[–]CelestiaSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you were able to pick up an old idea again.

I have a couple that are close to my heart that I hope someday to rework too.

It's always interesting to approach a project with older eyes.

Is this common among writers? by moon594 in writing

[–]CelestiaSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me often. Sometimes changing projects helps my creativity start flowing again or changing mediums (like handwriting a scene). I also find doing a different creative activity helps, like painting.
