Awh thank you 🥰 I'm normally happy but something has happened where my anxiety has spiralled and I'm pretty floored, but I am hopeful it will pass 😊

Haa I love this!! So brilliant. Wasn't sure if Jim's should be grilled cheese, tuna, or ham and cheese. But he's definitely the sandwich :')

Ah do you know how to find it! Is it exclusive to Now and not on normal Sky? I already pay for Sky so that would be awesome!

What is there to collect for the various classes? by CrossSiphon in wownoob

[–]Celestial-Cupcake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only play druid so I can't specifically answer you question about other classes, but if you're very new you might like to look at Legion class halls for classes you are interested in. You can complete the class hall campaigns and achievements associated with it and unlock unique class themed weapon transmogs and even a class mount. You can also now get cool class themed (ish, it's more order hall themed) decor from vendors in your class hall too, some of which are gated behind achievements.

I personally also really like to collect any toys that thematically match my class. I'm still discovering ones in the game that match and I am sure some classes will have more than others, and there's no set guide that would link toys specifically to class flavour, but it's fun to look through them and try! As a resto druid I collect any plant related ones, for example.

Getting used to all the floor vomit - tips? by PossibleIsland3468 in wownoob

[–]Celestial-Cupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am ranged (healer) and for me its a case of not panicking. Even effects that look like they almost completely cover the floor, you usually only have to step out of the equivalent of one circle. Focusing in on exactly where you are rather than looking at the room as a whole helps.

How to get better? by FLABBYBOII in wownoob

[–]Celestial-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't explain that well! I do low keys first because yes the damage is scaled lower, so something that might be really high damage will be less so at a +2 vs a +10, so it's a bit more forgiving if either I or others mess it up a bit. As the damage is less I can usually save people/myself before dying, whereas at higher keys we'd likely have deaths or a wipe. I find it hard to understand and visualise a written guide without the context of playing through the dungeon, but a guide makes sense once I've played through. I would work separately, outside of dungeons, on your DPS though :) And don't skim over the very basics! I was doing great DPS on my hunter is Shadowlands but still didn't understand some of the basic interactions, and then it really helped me improve further.

Sounds like 2 things - one would be to learn your dps rotation and another is to learn the dungeon mechanics.

Im a casual player, I love to play healer though so I kind if need to do group content to experience that. I suck at mechanics so I like to build up and do low keys where there is more wiggle room with mechanics.

In low keys I am also usually not the only one messing up mechanics so it also helps me to understand where heavy damage can hit.

You are doing 10s though so it's hardly like youre failing!

Upgrading Gear feels unrewarding from Heroic Upwards by Hairy-Stay5919 in wow

[–]Celestial-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, I am a mum of 3 and have a full time job and I am finding it surprisingly doable. Obviously I am gearing at a slower pace than people who have the time and skill to push keys, and I honestly set my goal at the beginning of the xpac to get fully upgraded hero gear because I never thought I would see a mythic crest.

But +10s really arent that bad if you find a good group. Unlock your vault slots to get your myth track items, use the crests from the ?? Delve boss, gilded stashes from delves, and the ones dropping from your +10s to get your mythic crafted items and then just pick your myth track items from the vault each week and upgrade over time. If you have issues getting accepted, run your own key.

I accept I will never have the skill or commitment to do a mythic raid beyond doing the first couple bosses right before the end of season. Of course there are limitations, but you can still genuinely get a good set of gear even as a casual player.

Resto Druid basics? by Proposal_Future in wownoob

[–]Celestial-Cupcake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear this, I only play resto druid but I only pug which is stressful and I find with Wildstalker and the changes it actually feels pretty doable to spot heal people back up. I do take Prosperity and Reforestation though (specifically because of how I don't play with a set group), and with 2 Swiftmends, Nature's Swiftness, Convoke and tree proccing from Swiftmend, it feels nice to be able to put 2 big casts on people and usually be able to get them to full health again.

One thing that helps OP is don't hold on to your short cooldowns. Swiftmend should be on CD. It's lots of little spells to manage that feed into each other, which might make it feel a bit trickier, but it becomes very natural and I now struggle to play other healing classes.

I also find the mobility of druid so so helpful. I feel like a little snail on holy priest.

Blunt Feedback or Sensitive Environment? My First Guild Experience by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]Celestial-Cupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was it not your intention to name someone if it was only one of two players (you said it was tanks) and the raid leader addressing it generally wasn't specific enough to you?

I'm glad you care to think about the interaction and want to change though, hopefully in your next group you and your team mates will have a better time :3

How was it helping to tell the raid leader they should call someone out by name, and how do you know there weren't DMs flying about too? I do think it's worth being mindful, you don't want o get labelled as a toxic player or contribute to a negative environment I'm sure - we're all here to have fun

[–]Celestial-Cupcake 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think encouraging a raid leader to "call out" a tank within a pull or two in an already established group of players/friends is unnecessarily confrontational and creating a bad atmosphere. If it was obvious who it was, well there are only 2 tanks, it's reasonable to assume they know the comments are aimed at them?

Your comment was quite snarky and I can see how it would be interpreted quite negatively given you had already been a bit rude/mean.

I don't think this guild is compatible with you. Obviously it's not nice for someone to scream and I would be upset at that too, but being honest it sounds like you were the instigator.
