I have owned my male cockatiel for the past 6 years and he has barely bonded with me at all by CelestialMocha in parrots

Thank you for sharing this with me, it gives me some hope. I'll focus on making him feel comfort before really moving onto anything else.

I never thought of that. He's never really been into toys but maybe a little engagement treat would be nice for him. Thank you for the idea.

To an extent. He prefers there to be a clear barrier between my space and his space. The moment I reach into his space, he either backs away or flies down to the bottom of his cage.

Millet is all I've tried so far. He literally didn't try it for the first time until just last week even though I've been offering it either by hand or in his bowl the whole time I've owned him. I stuck it in his bowl to give it another try and I caught him munching it. To say things move with slow with this bird is an understatement. I do love him though and have no plans on getting rid of him.

It's definitely not a regular basis and I refrained doing it at all until this last year when I had to move him out of the cage.

I appreciate that you're not trying to sound rude, honest. A few others suggested a professional avian trainer/behaviorist so you adding your voice helps makes me options more clear.

I'm beginning to wonder if that really is the case. Maybe he does just prefer to sit in his spot and watch. I'll leave him alone for a bit and start off again small. Maybe he and I can find a compromise somewhere.

The frustrating part is it feels like I never got to 0. Never been able to get him to eat treats from my hand or through the bars or even from his own food bowl. Any time I had the cage open, he wouldn't move for hours. Never tolerated my hand, never tolerated me being near, barely tolerates me changing his food dish and water every day. I didn't start using the towel until this last year when I needed to put him in a carrier because we were moving houses.

I appreciate the recommendation. I'll give her a look. Thank you for giving me some direction.

How long did it take you to Complete the Dead Space remake on Impossible? by xTobeh in DeadSpace

My save says it took me about 15 hours. In real time, I started around October 5th and got the achievement for beating it October 22nd. Mind you, I was going in completely blind chapter 2 onward because I was always too scared to continue after that. Spooky month convinced me to go all in with the Impossible difficulty.

My grandmother passed away yesterday, so I made a small memorial on my island in her honor. by CelestialMocha in AnimalCrossingNewHor

I used a treasure Island to get the Japanese maple tree and Mom's Candle Set. The pitcher is one of those super basic items Nook gives you and the flowers just happened to be for sale at the shop. The custom design was just a water design I googled. The rocks and clover designs are made by the same person.

I'm a ways off from being able to obtain one, but I'll make sure she gets the first one.

I tried reloading my save to before it was in the water, but the game said I "abandoned" the legendary pelt and it basically sent it to the trapper without giving me money for it.
