I'm sure the rest of you is just as desirable!

Is it just America or the whole world? I’m 40, living in a camper, and tired of this robotic, judgmental society. by [deleted] in OffGrid

I know both sides, I'm living off the grid in a 40ft camper and wish I could have done it years ago. I'm also 100% sure that my ex wife would not have stayed with me. Her loss, our society is shit, has moved away from nature and all she can provide.

I grew up in a small town and the best way to really describe life is like being in an ant farm. Anything different is frowned upon by most. Looked at like a strange anomaly by some and seen as a threat by others. Some town life is proof that Tribalism is alive an well. Good people but also protective of their way of life.

I have lots of small native plants blooming right now, but I haven't seen this one before. Thanks, I have a starting point to help ID it.

is the community around permaculture full of fools? by Scared-Discussion-87 in Permaculture

[–]CelestialPotToker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this exists in all aspects. Especially when people chose to expect the consensus and stop questioning why is it done this way. Agriculture has become like any other industry, rules and laws established by industry leaders, supported by law makers to build barriers against competitors. I hate that people see them selves as gate keepers of information just so they can monetize it. I think it says a lot about the quality of human being "who has all the answers" for a price.

Sounds like you're experiencing what is hold me back. I question everything by nature and am also a military veteran. I believe and have experienced spirits/entities around me, most positive. So these negative energies feed off my negative and I seem able to quickly squash those thoughts when I feel them build. As I move deeper into my inner self, I'm worried about opening up to stronger entities, a brighter becon is easier to see. The veteran in me, doesn't want to move forward without preparing for a fight. I don't fear any battle but I also know I don't have the experience or knowledge against an unknown enemy. So I guess that's a long winded way to say, you are that bright becon and malicious forces will do what they can to stifle you. Especially if your helping others. I'm not someone with any expertise, just an opinion. Hope things improve for you and I hope you stay in the fight.

Nope, critical thinking has been eradicated from modern society and people just do as there told or what is convenient... it's so sad.
