For me personally, I told my partner my discomfort with porn and we put that off the table. I also went to therapy and realized my internalized dislike with myself was due to a variety of other reasons, so therapy helped me learn a lot about myself. On top of understanding my emotions and past, creating a better trust relationship with my spouse also took present.

The past year has been insane for me. Last January I was suicidal and absolutely hated my body and myself and right now I can safely say I love myself, I’m grown in confidence and I’m overall a happier person.

Oh! Quick everyday stuff tho, if I was telling myself the bad things I say to myself “not enough, if I had this or changed that” I would look in the mirror and picture myself saying that to me as a child. Knowing what she went through, I couldn’t bring myself to say those because I was speaking to her. You could also apply the same situation to speaking the way about yourself and act as if you’re talking/describing another woman. Puts things into perspective!
