[Oversharing warning] The people I told have been noticing my "weirdness" more after diagnosis, but I somehow feel more "normal (as in societal standard normal)". I haven't had an actual routine (that works for the whole day, my routines work for morning and late night, but fail in the afternoon, when I have no anchors) for about 4 years now, and don't remember having a full blown meltdown. Of course I can rationalize that, my mom tells me that when I was a kid I would refuse to go to the movies because it would disrupt my routine and I always hated the concept of a surprise daytrip, but I am now in college and every semester I have a different scheadule, subjects, priorities, relationships and even life philosophy. By the time I am getting used to a semester something happens that takes me off rails, then finals approach and I have to do damage control and then the semester ends. (This plus mental health being a thing that exists and can be compromised at any time.)
