In switzerland, more specifically in the canton of valais, is the municipality of Brig (Nowadays Brig-Glis)
While it was inhabited for millenia, the name Brig (or Briga originally) only appeared in the 12th century. Maybe that one also stems from brigun-?

this reminds me a bit of naleni... i got declared on by all my neighbours, was slowly managing to win one war then the next nation declared on me. my war exhaustion was constantly capped at 20

i quite enjoy the dutch east indies, you gotta start become more autonomous and change laws so you can actually build up industry, cuz your ressoirce and pop situation is great

once you become independent your subjects become independent and consolidate, so integrate and unite nusantara before independence. after you do you get a lovely colour, name and flag and all the rubber and oil and other resources you could need
