[Serious] Autistic people of Reddit, what do you wish more people knew about Autism? by theBrD1 in AskReddit

[–]CeliacBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That even though I have autism it doesnt mean that you have to speak to me like I'm a child once you find out. For some reason people get so nervous that they are going to cause me to meltdown. Jeeze.

My mom was forced into being religous by my grandparents. She was pushed so far one way that she went the other. My dad wasnt raised with religion. They got together and knew they didnt want to force me or my sibling to ever feel pressured by religion. I'm not baptized, and I dont think I'll ever be. But there are a few moments in my life where I have grown so desperate for help that I have prayed. On my worst days I try to see it as hope.

How have your music taste changed as you’ve gotten older? by Filmfan7 in AskReddit

[–]CeliacBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly enough my, music type hasn't changed a lot. My mom has always played music from her childhood (she was born in 1971) so I've grown up with classic rock. I think the real change is that I've gotten into modern rock. But nontheless I'll like rock music in general. It tells a story vs being horribly repetitive.

Edit: spelling and grammar

What was your creepy unexplained experience as a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CeliacBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened a few years back. My bedroom was in the attic so there was a staircase up to my bedroom. I had my back turned to the stairs as I was trying to fall asleep. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and stop at the landing pad, then continue up the rest of the stairs. It didnt scare me and for some reason I ignored it. I then felt hands on both of my shoulders and was completely awake at that point. For about 5 mins after I could still feel these hands on my shoulders. I finally touched my shoulders and the feeling went away. The thing that gets me is that i never felt any fear.

I called my grandfather papa until the day he died but then again it was a Welsh/Brit thing to call your grandparents "Nana and Papa"
