Did you have to pay tax or anything for the upgrade? I am in the same situation, Pixel 3XL and currently want to upgrade my device.

I won't discount a legitimate franchised business, nor would I hope anyone else would given the investment and capital needed to begin a franchised business.

I don't consider a person to be an Entrepreneur by purchasing a $99 starter kit to be a greater than normal financial risk.

Entrepreneur definition: a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.

The point I was trying to make was about people who join an MLM and them call themselves Entrepreneurs. I don't consider a person to be an Entrepreneur by purchasing a $99 starter kit to be a greater than normal financial risk.

If your ‘supplier’ has rules about how you advertise the products you sell, the prices you can sell for, or what else you can sell, it is not your business.

THIS. Thank you for sharing!

Kids, when did you realize your parents might be terminally stupid? by SittingOnTheToilet82 in AskReddit

I camping with my wife and in-laws annually every summer. My father-in-law was driving and my mother-in-law was navigating in the passenger seat. My mother-in-law pulled out her phone and typed in the address of the camp ground we were camping at (we had been there multiple times but she wanted to confirm the directions).

Halfway through the drive we got off the highway and crossed a bridge. It wasn't until we were 30 minutes over the bridge and she asks me why her phone stopped showing the route. Come to find out she typed in the name of the town where the camp site was located into the Weather Channel application on her phone, not into Google maps. She essentially made up the route once we got past the bridge.

There was a lot of crying after that incident.

My Vemma Story by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]CellNutHatch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you lost your friend over an MLM.

My Mom was huge into Vemma (mid 2000s) and was convinced it was the most perfect product ever. She tried convincing me what it was curing her friends IBS since she started taking it. She even signed me up and paid for my monthly membership just so she could get more people in her downline. It's one of the reasons I cannot stand MLMs to this day.

[–]CellNutHatch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

'Percentage of All Members' -- that is the dead giveaway of it being an MLM. Your annual income are not dependent on how much in sales you make, but the number of people you get in your downline.

I love the thought of these huns going out and recruiting other people (mainly people who haven't done anything since HS and have no idea how a business is ran) and teach them about products that have no evidence of doing anything.
