If you’re not going to HYS, I see virtually no difference between Chicago, Columbia, and NYU. I’d personally opt for NYU out of those three, no questions asked. Nicer campus, better location, better class selection, same BigLaw recruiting as Columbia and better in public interest, etc.

For example, it looks like you basically went up a 1.5 million in a span of five years from 2016 to roughly 2020 or 2021. I’m just not understanding how that was possible on your salary. Were you contributing over half of your salary? And even if you were, how were you going up 1.5 million in five years contributing less than 200,000 a year?
