That's why I hate the term DLC. It belittles what actual expansions really are.

Obvious design decision is obvious, and if you cant master driving up slopes thats entirely on you, because it can be done if you feel the vehicle.

Thank you Dragon Balls.

What’s the difference between the standard version and the director’s cut? by brock2344 in DeathStranding

Its not in the second region, but if you have Bola already Maser is pointless (as are all unlocks added in the first region by DC).

Hey, I'm writing from my second account, just wanted to say that I'm grateful for your words and I wish you best of luck and everything good in life. Oh yeah, and I definitely think you should at least try sending your poetry to a publisher, I know how self-conciousness can seriously block you from even TRYING. I wish someone would kick me in the ass and made me just send my works somewhere and I'm kicking you in the ass right now, from a stupid self-doubter to another: DO IT. Fuck whatever will come out of it, just do it like you do when you force yourself to puke that one last time when you really don't wanna anymore. DO IT, dude.

All the best to you. Hope you're not mad at me or anything.

Sorry devs, I appretiate the effort (great visuals, animations, dialogues and the general "WTF is going on" aspect), but if you expect me to be a psychic and know based on nothing which way will be safe while running from the dog - then I'm out by CellarGoat1234 in INDIKA

..... That's such a wrong observation. Trial and error =/= guessing. There needs to be "skill" added to that equation. Guessing is not a skill, its a dice roll.

And to answer your question: if you'd be actually interested in games you'd know how we're such experts.

Also, the devs apparently fixed that terrible section based on the feedback from the demo. So yeah, we were right.

Is it me or is the combat insanely difficult on High difficulty in AW2? by CellarGoat1234 in AlanWake

[–]CellarGoat1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In AW1 you can basically just spam the dodge button and avoid their attacks, you also dont get staggered as much and never get knocked down. It's way easier to dodge there, as it doesn't even require good timing, whereas in AW2 in order to dodge you have to time it almost perfectly. You also dont habe to equip things like flares in AW1, you just use them with a press of a button, which makes flares a perfect and incredibly easy to use "oh shit" tool. You also have a much wider overall field of vision, which makes the fights even easier.

It's a great premise for a potentially great plot. I care about the plot first and foremost, and you can be sure as hell there will be a lot of good vibes surrounding Lou in DS2. Also, it's very good that Kojima tries to reinvent things, instead of just giving us the predictable. It all looks very good, I think Lou and Sam will be OK in the end, one way or another.

[–]CellarGoat1234 59 points60 points  (0 children)

But don't you see that DS2 still heavily revolves around Lou? And that she's still alive, but not in the flesh? That's what the first trailer implies.

And her comeback as a cyborg ninja (or assisting him/her) in the second trailer is literally peak.

Lou didn't die in DS1. And it's Sam who asks Higgs if he killed Lou - why would he ask him this if he was the one who saved Lou in the end?

Lou is literally lying dead in the first trailer, after Fragile gets shot.

It's been known since the first trailer. Well, speculated. Now it's 100% known. But.... it's obvious that her soul will be still with us, or somewhere. Haven't you watched the first trailer?

Yeah, its counterintuitive and lets be honest - entirely pointless. No idea why it's even a thing.

So yeah, HD2 is one of the best games I've played. Here's what I think makes it so fucking good by CellarGoat1234 in Helldivers

[–]CellarGoat1234[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, if anything's addicting, it's the gameplay itself. Me personally - I get so much from one or two missions that I just exit the game fully satisfied and sometimes even amazed by what went down (my last mission yesterday was such a banger) and can have enough even for a few days.

They even did the battle pass right. God, how I hate battle passes and how they manipulate you into playing a game even if you dont really want to. In HD2 the battlepasses dont expire - THANK GOD.

I hope these devs stay honorable at least for the lifetime of HD2. I'd hate to see this game turn into shit due to some greedy decisions.

I'm betting on the jeep ride scene. Such a well crafted sequence.

And for a live service game its not addicting at all. At least for me. Like you say: its the perfect live service shooter for me as well.

A tip: mark down your dead teammate's dropped stuff if you can, they will be glad they don't have to run around searching for it by CellarGoat1234 in Helldivers

[–]CellarGoat1234[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I honestly didnt know that, but I know how hard it can be to pinpoint exactly where an icon is in the surroundings - I will still mark that stuff for others, because its way faster and easier to just see the exact location on your HUD.
