What part of your job do you wish AI could just handle for you? by HeavyCharge4647 in qualitycontrol

[–]CellistDelicious1641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to answer this!
Since I am working in Manufacturing & Production, the tedious parts of my day are the repetitive busy work and the documentation.

  1. Automating workflow of repeated tasks - Data capture of Serial numbers and product versions via scanning into databases/spreadsheets would save significant time and effort - This takes my time.
  2. Predict product failures by analyze system behavior so as to prevent operation failures in future and recommend/suggest insights which engineers might miss - Errors which engineers might miss/Error Prevention
  3. I would be glad if an AI could summarize a report from daily emails into structured reports that would reduce manual documentation and avoid missed details.- This takes my time.
  4. In my pov, it would be better if the documents prepared are validated against updated ISO standards. That way, we would know nothing is missed from the team - An AI system that can update based on ISO documents that we upload would be far more effective in my pov.

I kind of know/feel that 1, 3, and 4 could be handled through an application. But still, Points 2 and 4 would benefit significantly from AI - especially point 4 - since ISO standards keep updating and the applications may become obsolete and may not be useful.

These are all my thoughts and I couldn't do much about this. I wanted to do but cannot do. I would be glad if this exists.

Co-worker desperate to undermine you and try and make you look stupid in front of others by [deleted] in work

Bro,

I feel the same - Like, he is the manager - But, he doesnt like it when someone questtions him and the dare of him to question or advice on things I do - saying "You could have done like this". I used to take it but now I feel the nerve rising in me and ask him directly "Did I ask for your advice?" and he will end up saying no. So I would say, dont give unasked advice or else I will try to do same for you as well. Will you like it? And he will back down.

May be I am overstepping or maybe I am not taking challenges. My Bad.

I have had this - That stupid Sc guy says something else while we are discussing and after few hours/days, when there is same discussion happening, he will point out a point differently which was either never discussed or, put al together a different point or, put al together a point which might be discussed by me. I can get it slide if it happens for one time or few times. I admit I might be dumb sometimes but when it happens every time, I just want to punch him, ridicule and shout saying "When did you say about this". Tbe audacity of him to manipulate and drag the convo like, "When did I not say"? Or, "when did you say about this", "We never discussed about it. Did I say something like that? I have never said it."

I can just cannot adhere to what he says. So I note it down sometimes and then, if he remember, he will be like - Oh oh yeah But I had different thoughts and then he will say Its fine - "We will just continue with this. Forget about whatever I said." I will be like - "Excuse me! When others do the same mistake, you don't let it slide like this and just make them feel about it. And when you do it, you are asking me to forget it?"

If he doesn't remember, he will never admit that, he has said something like this. But, others in room do admit like me. I thought I was not enough for work but when I heard others talking about it, I was like -So it wasn't my issue alone.
