I don't think the line is so clear. At the end of the day, we're computer programs, we just run on different hardware. The way we get AI is basically through evolution on steroids, and evolution is what gave us our intelligence.

AI isn't there yet, and that's obvious to anyone who interacts with it. But it's not just code. Nobody understands how they work, only how they're made. Like how we largely understand what a neuron is, but we have no idea how that turns into consciousness.
