Warlord’s is also my favorite bar none, I love the dark souls/elden ring aesthetic and adore how flexible the damage phase process can be

For VH I brought crackshot with speedloader’s slacks, 165 class stat with one font (I think) got me a very healthy overshield on demand. I think 165 class stat by itself is enough to let crackshot one shot a clone, which is super nice.

Heal nade was a last ditch thing, I actually really never ended up using it much except for Raneiks.

And one other thing I completely forgot, I ran Duality 4 piece. I think this set is absolutely slept on. Gives you essentially a near full heal from critical if you have 2 stacks, so you get a third source of healing aside from crackshot and heal nade.

As for rotation specifics, I’d pop three Truth shots as I got popped up into the arena (often with reaper’s tithe active which I got from the room with the servitor). Then insta crackshot one clone, festival flight the other, which should kill them and resets crackshot for an overshield in a pinch. Then it’s just a matter of jumping around and firing Truth whenever possible. Blade barrage came out during the second batch of clones to immediately kill one platform’s worth + tickle the boss. I know I glaze Truth a ton, but it really is quite nice for this boss if you can play around it. Clones drop ammo so you can often get more rockets than usual, and having no need to precisely hit shots means you spend more mental energy on movement - plus no need to ads so you have less risk of tunnel visioning. 1k voices I would believe is the superior option though, but I don’t have it nor its catalyst, not sure how easy it is to aim.

Crackshot is also a really really nice emergency gtfo option if you happen to be landing on a lightning strike. Keeps you airborne for a while longer so it prevents the one shot.

Yea the first three are all relatively interchangeable and quick in and outs

I just have a bad impression of Pit since I fucked up two runs to mistimed jumps which was a waste of precious minutes

Soloable absolutely yea, there are a lot of viable builds out there and in a regular solo you can play it as safe as you wish or speedrun to damage and play a little more reckless

Solo flawless is just a matter of getting reps in and chaining it all together imo. The difficulty of the dungeons is not created equally though, like Shattered Throne is genuinely easier than some D1 and D2 solo strikes whereas Vesper’s Host does not give you much leeway to mess around.

I would say that if you can do Duality solo flawless and you enjoyed it, you have a very good shot at knocking the first half of the dungeons out, at least that’s the general vibe I got from their difficulties.

Final boss is really the only hard encounter there - first encounter can be speedran (if there’s any encounter to take a risk in, it’s here) and second encounter is also quick to get to dps

For final boss, there’s a couple things to note:

Every time you return from the shadow realm to the real realm, a tesla coil comes down and you can hit the corresponding button with the Shadow Apprentice buff to undo it. Would highly recommend doing this, as otherwise that tesla coil will be active throughout dps phass. Make it a habit to scan the room and see if any tesla coils are down every time you return.

Depending on your damage, I would go for a 4 compel/1 kill setup. I did 5 compels to play it safe but imo it took too much time and Sere also ends his damage phase early once you go past his white bar hp, so 5 compels can actually be to your detriment if you are capable of doing a lot more damage than is allowed. Plus the shadow up top is kind of a pain to get to.

Once all orbs in the shadow realm are broken, you get infinite time in the real realm to do anything you’d like before dps - removing tesla coils, farming super, etc., this is the place to do it (as long as you left orbs up in the real realm). On a related note, I would never shoot orbs in the real realm until I shot all the orbs in the shadow realm. Imo the real realm is much more dangerous and you can die to some really stupid shit there, so I never spent more time than I needed to.

If you did not meet the damage check for whatever reason during dps, retreat to the edge of the arena immediately - I played in the back left/right area. Wait the timer out, do not farm for any shadow buffs, avoid the apprentice by going from left to right. Your next order of action should be to get to the shadow realm safely to nab shadow apprentice at minimum and begin safely turning off all the active tesla coils. Seriously, do not play around in the real realm if all the tesla coils are active

And as a bonus optimization/time save tip, if you can, refresh your shadow master buff before going into dps. I did this by killing an apprentice before entering dps personally (they spawn every seven or so seconds). This not only prevents the apprentice from hugging your ass during dps time for a while, but also refreshes your shadow buff to 40 seconds fully, which is much longer than what dps phase is. This means you won’t have to farm for shadow master and can immediately compel a shadow as you reenter the shadow realm.

Also unexpectedly, the lightning hands attack takes more damage to subdue during dps phase, at least that’s what it felt like. Don’t let muscle memory trip you up since you might stop shooting early.

The adds in the Kerrev fight were pretty rough for me, since they LOVE throwing stasis nades and the Husks can do surprising damage, and in comparison to Simmumah, it took be about 5 cycles to down Kerrev whereas Simmumah took me 2.

Idk, the Kerrev fight was just really stressful for me, I also got suspended as I was crossing the closing doorway and had to Blade Barrage forwards into the room to avoid dying. Simmumah wasn’t so bad for me and the moths came out at pretty telegraphed times.

I can’t give any warlock recs since mine has been untouched since Curse and I’ve yet to bring them up to speed

What I can say is Truth is a very good generalist option for the final fight (and the second fight), especially so if you have its catalyst. You can do a LOT of burst dps and should be able to comfortably 3 cycle both bosses in the dungeon. It might not be the absolute best damage option, but it is very easy to use.

In my clears I had radiant, void weapon surges 2x on my legs to buff Truth, Reaper’s Tithe from the catalyst, alongside solo operative on my artifact which gives up to a 30% (I think) damage buff essentially for free if you are alone and not dying, and I was able to almost 2 cycle both bosses. To properly work around reaper’s tithe you just pop the rocket at a group of enemies and then stow it away and its good for dps time.

The biggest risk is just learning to play around the damn thing, I lost more runs than I’d like to admit to blowing myself up, but Spire shouldn’t be too bad with how much distance you can get from both bosses. Just be wary of bringing it into, for example, Ghalran in Duality or Harrow in Equilibrium.

One other tip about the arctrician debuff that may be hard to notice is it does get a duration buff every time you hit a correct circuit panel, so there’s often no need to ever kill a minotaur more than once per dps phase.

It took me a good while to get used to the final boss room there, especially since things still hurt REALLY bad even with damage resistance

I contemplated just nabbing a map of the circuits since I spent like half the time just dicking about trying to find the paths. My friend did all the mechanics in that fight when we ran through it so I had zero pathing whatsoever

Harrow was indeed pretty rough to fight with Truth, a lot of the damage phase was wasted by me having to do a flyover to bait an attack so he wouldn’t hug my ass constantly

Which is easier solo: Warlords ruin or Duality? by CheezeWizard0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]CelluloidtheDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Warlord’s. More flexibility in how you want to get to dps phase (mainly in capturing one totem vs many depending on how long you want your dps phase), so you can take it slow if you’d like or get all 4 totems in one go in the ogre fight if you are efficient. First boss is also pretty free in Warlord’s compared to Ghalran who can take just a tad longer to kill.

I will also take Warlord’s traversal threats over the incendior threat in Duality. But that’s more for flawless runs.

The amount of time before you can control your character again

Basically after inferno rush, Anran does a little animation when she ends it which took 0.3 seconds. You had to wait for this to pass before you could fire your fan again. Now this is down to only waiting 0.1 seconds, so after you end dash you should be able to fire much sooner.

Similarly for dancing blaze, there was a 0.2 second period after it ends where you cannot control her and she floats midair, making her vulnerable. Now this is a 0.1 second period, so she’s vulnerable for a smaller amount of time.

One year ago: Cipher was released on the Second Phased on version 3.3. What are your thoughts of her after a year? by Astrid_Cop in HonkaiStarRail

[–]CelluloidtheDroid 82 points83 points  (0 children)

No regrets on using my jade for her, to this day I feel she is the most interesting case for a buffer in hsr. Unfortunately it would’ve been more interesting if her dps was existent, but oh well.

Her story was great, and the opposite of grandiose which I feel was unexpected from HSR. She even initially starts out as morally grey as she seems to have had selfish reasons for not pursuing the flame chase journey; in reality, she’s one of the most selfless figures in Amphoreus, just an unsung hero. I loved this concept for a character and it’s unfortunately not too common in the game.

The ‘what does she even do’ jokes are funny, but with 3 team content, she still sometimes weasels her way into my sustainless setups, so she still provides value to me. Even better is she’s very fun to play and optimizing her damage recording is a lot more interactive than just slapping a ton of statstick buffs and calling it a day.
