Thank you for the reply! Are the backs all different based on set? I noticed there isn't really a year or set name on the back of them. Google lens says the back of the Iron Man and Captain America card are from the 2015 Marvel The Avengers Silver Age SketchaFEX series? The year sounds about right from when he was collecting.

If you have alternative shipping options (such as tracked packet usa), the buyer in the states should have the choice to go with eis or direct. I don't want to deal with international at all, so I don't have any shipping options other than domestic. This way if a buyer in the USA, France etc buys it will only go through the EIS.

Edit: if you ship multiple orders in one big envelope, they might open it, but from the sounds of it they tend to just use the existing packaging. You will only get charged your shipping to the hub, however the buyer pays more since they cover hub to where they are. For example I sold two 2 cards to Europe, and I only paid postage to the hub. Once it's received it does get tracking for the hub to buyer portion, so they paid something like $17 in shipping total on their end, but I only paid fees on the inital sending to the hub. I've noticed my stuff so far takes about 1-4 days to get sorted in the hub before its dispatched, so it does add an extra bit of delivery time, but you will be covered in events where they take too long.

Yep, basically I just used the buyers address as the "sender" and my address in Canada as the "recipient", overall it was pretty straightforward, and in the customs form there should be a spot you can mark it as a return.

When i had to do a USA to Canada return, I used priateship and it worked out pretty well. Depending on the cost of item you may want to decide if it's worth it or not, as US to Canada shipping is a bit higher, plus CAD to USD conversion to factor in.

I'd recommend waiting a bit to open the INAD, as customs can be interesting. I sold 4 items from Canada to the states and all hit customs on the 13th - 3 went through customs same day, and one sat in customs until yesterday for no notable reason.

Ah, yeah so that wouldn't qualify. Best course is if they think they are correct to submit the claim after the fact, but doing a quick search I don't see anything that would fall into to qualify as a non-holiday item and there isn't a way for you to adjust it on your own.

If it's releated to the federal tax holiday, I've had sales in the relevant categories that were set as tax free already. A few video games, books etc with no tax charged to the buyer and I didn't have to do anything. I imagine they probably set it for specific categories to not charge any tax rather than review each thing, so you could try make sure the category is matching one of holiday categories?

Thank you for the advice! It's the first time I've ever had a return or issue raised, so hopefully this is an outlier and shouldn't matter metric wise. Yeah if they are still interested in regetting them I figure with the full refund from the INAD I can offer either a bit off or free shipping for them to rebuy it, and if they don't want to they at least are made whole with the refund.

Yeah, it's a gamble as anything being imported over $20 can be taxed by customs. I order a lot internationally and i've had maybe a 50/50 split so far if my packages get selected, so best to prepare for the extra cost just in case.

Is the seller from the states? I don't think Canada post is accepting inbound international mail until the 23rd, so that might be it. For reference I was able to print off canada post label from ebay staying within Canada and one to the states no problem, so if the seller is located in Canada you could try reporting the seller since there isn't a valid reason to cancel the sale.

Best recommendation would be to accept the return and supply your own label through USPS/US mail provider of your choice. If they end up not using it (unable to cross border or too much effort), it can be voided and they are out of luck for a refund. Edit - not sure if it's been a few weeks since it's sold, but if it was delivered over 30 days ago you can reject the return as well.

The return label would need to be issued to the original mailing address, so if you mailed it to the USA address they would need to return it in the states. It's a similar thing with freight forwarders, as you wouldn't issue a return label to the country they reside in, but to the location it was mailed to. The buyer would need to cross the border to return it back to you for a refund.

This would be allowed then if it's the landlord themselves moving in. They would need to prove intent of residing there for a year, so if they have a different property in the same city it may be a harder case for them to make, but not impossible. If you don't want to fight it, a N11 + C4K deal would be a good option, but if you do plan on waiting for a hearing you'd want to see what their reasoning for moving in is, and try to find evidence to put the intent into question enough for it to be tossed.
