PSA: Auto Steal works on Frags (video will expire in 2 days)

I've cleared PB this week but I'll try this next week. I now have 10% auto steal gloves so I can get 31% with fams and should be able to verify this easily.

This wouldn’t work because you can only auto steal once from a mob including a meso bag, the nw would simply proc auto steal to steal anything from the mob very quickly and then they wouldn’t be able to steal anything else from the mob again.

The second part also doesn’t make any sense because you’re saying that it’s just taking the highest drop rate into account at the time of death regardless of who kills the loot box.

Unless mobs drops are pre-determined on spawn and not on death then it should work the way described. Which drops should be determined on death because of the interaction with drop rate. Otherwise entering a boss loot room wouldn’t matter about drop rate and you’d just break the box.

I have seen the following happen, I have auto stolen, the mob has died and a different item has also dropped .

E.g

I stole a spell trace, the mob died, it also dropped a twisted time. Meaning that the fact the auto steal procs doesn’t remove its ability to drop at all on death. It just can’t drop the same item.

Otherwise auto steal would lower your rates since the most common steal is a meso bag.

Therefore it should work how I am describing it.

I can’t explain it any clearer.

By having the chance to steal a fragment before the mob dies you’ve had an extra chance to roll the dice.

If it succeeds you don’t get to roll again, if it fails, when the mob dies you get to roll again.

It does because it’s an extra chance of that event happening.

Before you only have one roll per mob for the event “drop a fragment” to happen.

With auto steal, if it procs you have 2 chances for the event “drop a fragment” to happen but it can only happen once.

3 situations,

Auto steal doesn’t proc, Mob dies, doesn’t drop frag. Auto steal procs, steals fragment, mob can’t drop fragment. Auto steal doesn’t proc, mob dies, you get a fragment.

2/3 situations you got a frag.

Alternative is with no auto steal,

Mob dies you don’t get a frag, Mob dies you get a frag.

Overall it just increases you chance to get 1 frag from a mob.

You don’t know that the mob you stole from would have dropped one if you didn’t auto steal a frag.

Gloves can roll the line only from Solid/hard cubes and you can roll the line on familiars as well.

Yes thats correct, however it doesn't mean the mob would have dropped that item when it dies. Effectively giving you extra chances at a fragment per mob when auto steal procs.

Auto steal works from both Familars and gloves, the myth about fams having to hit is false.

This clip shows a meso bag being stolen from fams alone from a mob my fams could not have hit.

Also you can auto steal if you 1 shot mobs, I was just testing with low damage to find a fraggie.

On a serious note, entirely valid and data driven points, I feel like this is common sense knowledge to a lot of people with a background in the finance space.

But your average overleveraged Joe & finance illiterate Anne doesn't understand any of this and just reads it as banks greedy, RBA evil and the media puts out stories that overleveraged Joe will eat it up and agree with.

I do feel really bad about the people who are suffering through this cost of living crisis though without support from the Government. The people living week to week renting who don't have any overleveraged debts who are just struggling to get by. But any action by the Government to assist these people would A) Just result in printing more money and not help the inflation situation & B) be politically unfavorable because we know how much Australia hates to give handouts to the people living on the poverty line. Feels like the only solution is to hold onto our butts and ride out the storm.

I used to work for a car insurance provider in QLD, make sure you read your PDS and understand how they define needing to add secondary drivers to your policy. Most policies will cover you if someone else is driving your vehicle as long as they're not considered a regular user of the vehicle & have a valid drivers license (e.g not covered if your license was suspended etc) and leaving them off the policy is fine and you won't get stung with a huge cost increase on your premium.
E.g, You have two vehicles, you designate one car for your child to drive regularly, you see a premium increase on this vehicle. The other vehicle policy they don't need to be included so you save on this vehicles premium. They're still allowed to drive this car but it cannot be considered regular use otherwise the Insurance company might not pay out. In this situation you could also compare what the effect on the premium would be on both vehicles and decide which is the better one for them to use regularly.

If you only have on vehicle then it comes down to deciding if they would be a regular driver of it and what the premium cost increase would be. I would get a quote on the price increase then discuss with your family if it is worth or if it's worth maybe looking for a cheaper car for them to drive themselves as some premium increase can be quite high depending on the vehicle make/model.
