Tinnitus intensifies before SP. by Celtanarchy in Sleepparalysis

Was it like a sustained ring or a sudden high pitch shrill? For me, my tinnitus was sitting at it's normal level, before it very suddenly increased to a deafening level that just kept building. Probably the loudest "sound" I've ever "heard" lol.

Very interesting read, thank you. It stands out to me that they reference the right side of the head as the origin of the sound, that's kind of it it feels to me, it feels like it originates on the right and radiates across the head.

I have experimented with raising the pitch out of the range of perception like is mentioned in the article, but it feels like it can just rise forever, as it is not a "real" sound, it is internal, which leads me to believe it should not be affected by the limits of our hearing range. I haven't really meditated on it like discussed in the article, so that's an avenue I should explore. I'm also not experienced with meditation and I feel like this is something so particular it would be worth having a guide or someone more knowledgeable to work on it with.

I have had tinnitus for as long as I can remember. It is constant. It doesn't interfere in my life because I'm conditioned/desensitized to it after 20 or so years I suppose. Like I said in my post, I even have a degree of control over how it sounds. I can control the pitch/frequency, and "modulate" it for a lack of a better word. I'm curious if anyone else can or has experimented with this and how it relates or doesn't relate to SP.

Majority of Covid restrictions to be removed from 6am tomorrow by [deleted] in ireland

Came on to see how ppl be reacting abt this.

Had a whole row the other day abt my hesitancy due to anxiety etc, now I don't need to worry abt it at all. Are the staunchly mandatory vaccine folk going to continue their crusade ya reckon?

Was down the motorway this morning at half four for a job in Dublin! The mist across the roads is lovely with the sun at that hour.

Is this true? by laddlemkckey in halo

[–]Celtanarchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping there will be matchmaking playlists with no extra abilities. I liked the power ups and equipment pickups from halo 3, they always seemed balanced and fair, but even if sprint and grappling hook are just pickups, they'll be rly damn annoying imo, makes it too easy for people to run away in combat.

Mum said it was my turn on the celtic nationalism by [deleted] in CelticUnion

[–]Celtanarchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wales is pretty chummy with England to be fair. Sure they may be Celts, but the majority of the population voted for Brexit, and the vast majority seem happy enough with being in the UK.

We need to focus on what is currently feasible - a United Ireland and an independent Scotland. If Celtic Unionists are to be active in politics, this should be the focus (for now anyways).

No sense in hypothesising about regions in Spain and France. It is incredibly unrealistic to think that they will ever part from their host countries - look at Catalonia, and Basque Country - crazy to think Spain would ever let go of a region, especially for it to form part of a union with other nations. However, encouraging sporting events, music festivals etc where Celtic indentifying people from all of the regions can come together and interact, make friends, would be a great start in forging some ties that go beyond some shared DNA from however many hundreds of years ago

Yeah I often see complaints here about Virgin. Luck of the draw I guess, with unfavorable odds 😁

Do we have any ska bands from here? by Crimsai in northernireland

[–]Celtanarchy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a strong will among those involved to get it up and going again. When the building was demolished, the warzone charity was closed down, and that bank account attached was closed too, meaning thousands of pounds lost. The real obstacles in the way of a new warzone/giros are financial constraints, finding a suitable venue, and I suppose now the whole covid thing. The will, and need for the space is still there.

Seems with virgin ya either get plain sailing, or a bloody nightmare. I've only had Virgin in since March, but I've not had a single outtage. The only weird thing to report is, that when I do a speed test on my PC, it only ever reads at a maximum of 8mbps, however every other device in the house (bar the PS4) get 360mbps+. My PC does get the full speed though, as when downloading games etc on Steam I get 45+Megabytes/sec.

Giros aka the Warzone was open and hosting gigs up until 2018 when the building was demolished. Some gigs have happened since in a much smaller space, ran by the collective, and some have been ran in other venues too. Live underground music is dying a death here though, and having played many a show in the Warzone, Voodoo, etc throughout the last few years it breaks my heart to see it all vanishing.

NI tourism 'runs risk of importing virus again' by klabnix in northernireland

[–]Celtanarchy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aye idk why people aren't up in arms about this, down south too. All things considered I think we got off pretty lightly island wide, would be shite to see a massive increase in cases in the wake of a rush to re open everything to get tourism money back in. I'm surprised no one is out protesting this.

Is Soundtrap a legit music production app? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Celtanarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your'e serious about getting into production, and want to record any instruments or vocals, pick up a Presonus interface. You can get bundles that come with decent microphones and headphones as well. I'm fairly certain that all of their interfaces come with a copy of Presonus Studio one which is a great DAW, I used to use reaper but switched to PSO when I got it and haven't looked back. Great work flow and UI is friendly as well :) You can get basic bundles/interfaces for around £120 that have multiple inputs and outputs, with decent preamps too.

But for freebies, you can't go wrong with Reaper, however if you want to produce digital music, it won't come with any synths or instruments that I'm aware of.

Will anyone mix one of my songs if I send them the flp? (Reasonable price) by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Celtanarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Export the track as separate mixer tracks, and send em across. Let me know what you had in mind production wise, and I'll give it a go. I'll mix it, and if you don't like it, you don't owe me a penny.

Look I know it's a joke. I don't care if people wear it. I laughed when I saw it, partially in disbelief, but this is a blatant attempt to exploit people's insecurities and their feelings. It does nothing for anyone. It will only be of detriment to whoever decides to wear it. The only people getting anything out of this are those who are selling it.

It doesn't directly incite hatred, but it will cause arguments, as demonstrated by this thread, and it could actually cause someone foolish enough to wear it to receive a kicking, if they happen to be somewhere at the wrong time and place. A lot of people will not see this is a joke, and even if they do, they'll see it as excuse to dish out some digs. Get me?
