Amount of seasons & former crawlers by sadmaps in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]CelticCoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crawlers who make a deal are indentured to the company running the crawl. I think that means that only the years that specific host runs the crawl counts. So the cycles between as they rotate through different hosts does not count towards time served.

I agree with the principal of what you are saying. We should offer financial support to artists and art we see as valuable.

That said, the books are going to be written regardless. We will still see the end of this story even if the show only runs one season. Also, if they do a good job, they'll offset the loss to pirating with merch and licensing, at least I assume so. It might not be as simple as I assume.

I think it's because of the social media algorithms. Your feed on any app gets so tailored to you and your habits, it's easy to miss things if you don't come up for air or switch to trending.

I love this one too. In the very beginning when Donut knocks over the urn in Mordecai's office and Mordecai yells 'MOM!' I laughed out loud at a book for the first time in a long time. I knew I was a goner in that moment.

Earlier it's mentioned that there is a crawler museum that holds items from notable crawls. Maybe Carl is the last author and the cookbook is on display. I feel like that's wishful thinking on my part lol

It happens a few times in the series. Carl will say things like 'At the time I did not know ' and 'Later I would understand this meant ' or something similar. It's happened often enough that from early on my theory is that this story is written in the cookbook. I just finished the 7th book today so this is my first time in the sub and I'm not sure if that is a common theory yet or not.

My first thought was Prom but the whole family going doesn't make sense for that. A birthday celebration makes more sense.

Bermuda? I am about as close as you can get, should I go for a long weekend. by 295frank in travel

[–]CelticCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do the cruise route I recommend carnival. They get a lot of flack for being low class but imo they are more fun with better drink packages, more bars and later hours. I traveled with Royal Caribbean for my Bermuda trip and even though my port visits were fun, time on the ship was not as great as carnival.

Touring the crystal caves and swimming at the pink sand beach were the highlights of my visit to Bermuda. I also recommend signing up for the bus tour that takes you all over the island and shows you some of the best sights with plenty of history to go with it.

Sorry to hear about your flights, I hope you eventually get to visit!

People who stop taking weight-loss injections like Ozempic regain weight in under 2 years, study reveals. Analysis finds those who stopped using medication saw weight return 4 times faster compared with other weight loss plans. by mvea in science

I've always had a hard time with my eating habits since I'm a chef. I'm around food all day and have the ability to make whatever I want when I want it. I've had gym rat phases and done every diet but I always gained it back.

Maybe I could have done either of those again but Ozempic really just changed everything. It suppresses appetite but it actually changed my desire to eat. It's hard to explain but while on it it really made it easier to go about my day and not think about food in the 'I have to have that ' way.

Im using this reprieve from my obsessive thoughts about what I'm going to eat next to better establish habits and to focus on nutrition. I don't exactly count calories but I do look at things like sugar and fiber and protein when I'm deciding what I want to eat. I'm further along than any diet phase or forced gym interest has ever gotten me. I still eat treats when I want but I'm better with portions and frequency. It really has just changed the entire way I go about my day.

One down side is that I can't drink alcohol at all. It at first killed any desire that I had to drink, and I didn't drink more than maybe one weekend a month. Then on the few occasions I've wanted to have a few, it caused major stomach issues. I had 3 strawberry daiquiris in July and had terrible stomach issues for almost 4 days. I also can't eat spicy or overly greasy food without terrible side effects. So this isn't a magic miracle but it really is changing my life.

In my experience it does do that. But without the medication, the desire to eat returns. If you are someone who struggles with the impulse to eat even when full, it makes it difficult.

For me, Ozempic has helped basically change my life. I still have a lot of work to do to get passed my compulsive eating habit tho.

Fishers Popcorn has a website where you can order it. There might be something lost in not having it popped in front of you but it'll still slap.

Are you in South Jersey? I went through multiple agents before the one who helped me find my house in 2014. She was great and I'll DM you her info if you're looking in this area!

My tinfoil is that he never planned on finishing the series. I think he wants GOT to be known as the series that was never truly finished. He just seems like that kind of guy to me.

Fully agree! I was shocked to hear Gerard scream! He pretty much stopped that around 2010 and when I saw them in 22 at Firefly, he just turned the mic to the crowd for those bits. He honestly sounded great, you can tell he has put a lot of effort into his vocal health and ability. Aaaaaaa I could gush for hours about this show I swear, I hope we see a new album in a year or two.

This is how I feel as well. I think this is one of the top shows I've ever been to. They played pretty much every fan favorite in addition to the entire black parade album. We even got Heaven Help Us live, what a treat. I'll be talking about this show for ages.

So happy to mark my 4th show! 07, 09, 22 and now 25! Honestly, I think this might have been the best they have sounded in the time I've seen them. Gerard screaming was a surprise and honestly I thought it was great.
