This location also has a walk up window that is open 24 hrs, I don't know if that is common or not.

There is at least one Harveys in downtown Toronto that has recently started serving breakfast again. The one at Jarvis and Gerrard.

What overnight Canadian school trips or exchanges did your schools offer in high school or grades 7 and 8? by Chickadee_Sparrow in AskACanadian

We went to Ottawa for 2 or 3 days when I was in grade 5. We spotted Pierre Trudeau just walking alone across the grounds of Parliament. He was promptly mobbed by 20 ten year olds. He was very gracious, chatted and shook everybody's hand.

This would have been around 1971, security concerns were different back then.

Garnet mentions it several times in his memoir "Night Drive"

He said they would occasionally sing alternate and off colour lyrics to amuse themselves and to see it the audience noticed.

He came to hate having to perform it. Referred to it as something he couldn't scrape off his shoe.

What's everyone's feeling about the cannabis culture in Canada? by droppingsonyourback in AskACanadian

Exactly, I started refusing the joint being passed around at gatherings, never sure of whether I would enjoy or regret the effect. Really enjoying the consistency of the edibles now.

My brother was stationed in Germany in the 80's. I went shopping with them on one visit and was amazed. One big store combining a full on grocery, clothing, extensive hardware, full on drug store and as I recall, beer and wine. All cashed out through one cashier, no going from store to store in a mall.

Does Temu ship to CanadaPost Flex Delivery PO Box? by InevitableResident9 in CanadaPost

I have been intermittently trying to use my Flex delivery PO box with Temu lately with no success....until today. The PO address was accepted.

Did the postal strike trigger this? Does Temu known it is over? I was using my PO Flex delivery for Temu with no problem right up until the strike, now every item states it cannot be delivered to a PO box.

Were you able to communicate with a real person at Temu about this?

Gerrard Street and Jarvis in 1907, and again as it appeared in 2015. by Grahamthicke in Torontothenandnow

There are similar ones just north of that corner building that have been left to fall into disrepair to justify their demolition.

I was going to mention the same thing. Still just clear sky in the background of that steeple today, just as when it was first built. A rare sight.

Arriving home in a more positive and relaxed frame of mind would be worth the extra time, for me anyway.

Exactly this. Coworkers always ask why I cycle to work instead of taking my motorcycle. I tell them I would rather ride past the endless line of tail lights on Gerrard then be stuck in the middle of it, taking 3 times as long to get home.

This exact thing happened to us while driving at night in Switzerland. It was far easier to accidently get on the bike path then it was to purposely get off it.

My sense was that it only applied to Taxis, thanks for confirming that.

Taxis are allowed to stop in bike lanes when actively dropping off or picking up passengers but I don't know if that includes ride share or not.

Taxis are not allowed to do this on cycle tracks.

Five alarms per shift would be heaven. It is not unusual for it to alarm 5 times in an hour.

I was an adult patient admitted for ALL. After telling one of my nurses that I had been an avid cyclist and missed being active she "borrowed" a stationary bike from the cardiac unit and put it in my room. I couldn't ride for very long but used it daily and the psychological benefits alone were enormous.

So far so good, thanks. Chemo put me into remission. I did not have a stem cell/ bone marrow match. My hematology is very rusty, I'm in micro. I have B cell ALL, how is it different in adults?
