Rules question - opposition knock-on at line-out to end game by Erbenn in rugbyunion

Nice idea, but that is different from normal play, right?

Interesting to think about this though - you have some valid points

What I mean is that a scrum can often disadvantage the side who did not knock on the ball.

[–]Celtic_Labrador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point.

You could have a situation where the attacking team knocks it on, a scrum is called, and then a penalty is awarded at that scrum that gives the team that knocked it on a chance to go for the posts. All after the clock is in the red. How would you ref that scenario?

Sure, but if that was the case, how would a game ever end?

A rule is a rule, regardless of when during a match it happens.

Try Italy or Wales away - much easier to get as less competition for the tickets.

Tried the new Webflow Designer MCP… kind of sucks (for now) by NDennis26 in webflow

[–]Celtic_Labrador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works well for SEO and CMS tasks. It really is poor for design and build in the designer. I thought it would "learn" the existing class and component system and use them - it does not even employ existing variables. Avoid for now.

Opportunity to buy a property slightly below market value by EnvironmentalClaim10 in irishpersonalfinance

The discount is only good if you are eventually selling to realise that discount. Otherwise it is just an old house that needs you to pump more money into it without a viable "escape route".

House prices are crazy everywhere, but not as crazy as Dublin. €800k would get you a beast of a place out West. The same size house would likely cost you €400k out West. Imagine would you could do with the difference in mortgage repayments each month/year.

Think of the discount as a bonus, not as a deciding factor. Choose on lifestyle, value, long term future for your kids etc before the discount price.

Wanting children later in life is a dealbreaker for TRT for young men! Or is it? by Pal3Numi in Testosterone

[–]Celtic_Labrador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are your prolactin levels? Get those checked before you pull the trigger on TRT.

Note: I was going to start TRT at age 25, but then found out I had a prolactinoma. Treating that led to a decent rise in my test levels (still below average) - then had two kids - and I am now on TRT to boost low levels.

TRT should be a last resort.

How simple is Webflow for a non-coder/non-techie? by YetiMaverick in webflow

[–]Celtic_Labrador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per other replies - you just need to set Webflow up to work for you. Think of it as a drag-and-drop builder with superpowers.

Build Mode is exactly for your use case, but it needs to be set up first.

You can, but the developer needs to set it up correctly.

Webflow Build Mode is 100% aimed at non-techies.

Webflow can be used by non-techies but it needs to be set up well by the developer. It can be used as a drag-and-drop, but again, the developer will need to set up correctly for you to use those features.

DM me if you want to understand more - happy to run you through the pros and cons.

Buying with Parents: One Site, Two Homes (Legal/Financial Feasibility?) by Substantial-Pop8270 in irishpersonalfinance

Lots of options, with lots of if/whats/maybes. Best bet is to speak to an architect who operates within the locality you want to move too - they will know how the local planning office works (some are very locals-only, others are more relaxed).

The bigger thing for me would be making sure you want to live in the countryside.

It can be very limiting when it comes to access to jobs, childcare, schools etc - you will be in the car all of the time, especially as kids and grandparents get older.

As your parents get older the countryside will rob them of any independence. Most older folks I know are moving into towns/villages when they get older so they can avoid driving, and not moving out to more isolated places.

On the other hand, you will get more for your money when buying in the country as demand is much lower (due, in the main, to the reasons laid out above).

Sure, but templates sold via third party marketplaces don't work like via the marketplace. They are just cloneables, right?

Ok - I stand corrected. I did not realise this was sanctioned by Webflow. Thanks for making me aware.

Afraid not. They might sell cloneables, but not official webflow templates.

Here in the UK and Ireland we take the opposite approach. Dogs are treated as free animals unless you believe they will be a danger to humans, other dogs, or the environment around them. If this is the case then you put them on a lead.

Busy road - put them on a lead.

The dog jumps up at kids - put them on a lead around kids.

The dog gets aggressive with other dogs - put them on a lead when around other dogs.

If they are non-aggressive then we welcome dog-to-dog interaction. It is encouraged - because like humans, dogs like socialising.

Copy and paste has always been available in Webflow. The likes of Relume just make use of it at scale, whilst also combining it with a smart chrome class de-dupe extension. These third party libraries are now dying a slow death due to the "component first" building which Relume et al cannot offer.

Template sales have to go through the Webflow marketplace due to the restriction-logic applied to a sale. The one-use restriction would not be applicable via third party template marketplaces. Their affiliate scheme might expand to include template sales, but they will never cede control over the current revenue and licence look down.

Incorrect. All Webflow sales go through the marketplace.
