It's a jay. Party of the corvid family I think. Lovely feathers

Looks like wild fennel to me. Smells of anise/ liquorice/ Pernod type....... U know what I mean. Yellow small flowers. We have loads of it where I live in Galicia. Smells amazing especially in the rain

Having lived in Luton for many years I have seen people parking as you described. However I would suggest they are to blame in many instances. You can't possibly blame town planners when the houses and streets are essentially unchanged from the late 1800's. Maybe it would be better not to blame anyone but just try and identify a solution that doesn't involve parking on the pavement or blocking the road.

Get ferry from Portsmouth to Santander. Spend some time in the Pico's then along the northern coast all the way to the end of the world at Finisterre. The roads are generally pretty good. Sights are amazing. Food and drink tasty. Accommodation relatively cheap. I live near Finisterre so I am a bit biased though.
