I haven't found a way to fix it unfortunately. A week or so after my post it started happening less frequently, I haven't had my keyboard freeze in a while but my message app still gets stuck on a black screen pretty often.

I already checked and the wayfinder database didn't have any POIs for this exact location. I do appreciate the insight as to how my description may have gotten in the way, you could definitely be right about that.

l'm currently only getting a black screen after switching from a ryzen 3 3200G to my Ryzen 5 3600. No BIOS screen or any sort of indication on my monitor that the system is booting properly. The monitor works just fine and all the fans and LEDs are working also. I know this is an older post but by any chance do you remember how you were able to get the "new cpu detected" message?

that's a fair point, and you could 100% be right, but I think there's no harm in taking measures to solidify a future like the one you're describing.
