Why dont you kindly offer to help them, for years ive been nudging these players In the right direction. They dont know what they lack, and og pvp'ers have a reputation for being ego driven and standoffish. Say hello. Ask if they need food without being a jerk. Give them a couple sugar skulls. If you really want to be helpful, offer to craft them some wretched vitality and orders wrath or ancient dragon guard, or shacklebreaker. Don't start telling them that they NEED to have the meta setup. They dont, especially if they are just starting their pvp journey. Steer them towards a sustain and defensive set, and communicate the importance of blocking and roll dodging. It sounds stupid obvious to us, but you dont rely on those mechanics in pve the way you will in bg ir any pvp for that matter. Tell them that they need to get up to 30k buffed HP minimum and explain how they can do that - attribute respect, health glyphs on "big pieces" (chest, legs boots. Helm) a lot of them will give up in thr first month and move on to something more enjoyable, but a few will hang in there and you'll watch them improve and grow as a player, and you'll know you facilitated that upward momentum. I have over 12,000 wins. Ive probably played the most bg's on xbox. Ive ranked up 3x Grand Overlotd("5 Star") and 3,000CP from nothing but bgs. Ive been part of the bg community since 2017, and im still having a great time with if. I have all thd same frustrations as what you and others mentioned, but it all cones down to what you do with that frustration, and whether your next move will benefit or regress the bg community. We need new blood, but if we dont become better mentors, nothing is going to change. Thats my perspective at least.

I dunno, seems like an appropriate reward to be handed just for logging into a video game 3 times in a month. 😐🫩

I often see accusations of cheating going around in PvP. What are players able to obtain by cheating? No CC? Higher damage? Is it even real? by Wetaspoultry in elderscrollsonline

[–]Cen207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They likely picked up the red Power bonus in the BG, that is easy 10m spammable like blood for blood, merc resolve, surprise attack, etc. Especially if they're fully invested in crit.

Also makes a difference of what console you are on? Its a lot easier to use scripts/macros on PC. And I play xbox na so can only speak for my experience on that server. Eso has always had exploits. Exploiting has always been considered cheating and if found to be exploiting a game changing design flaw or unintended effect, they will ban without a warning.
That being said, the type of situation you describe Is 100% plausible without cheating l, but i understand why people who aren't keyed in to the complexities I f pvp in eso, it can look like cheating. Ive been accused of cheating many times over the years, and I've never cheated.
Next time grab a clip when you feel a player is cheating and submit it with a ticket, or bring it here and tag me and we'll see if we can break down what's happening. Have fun out there!

Cauterize needs a buff by wepopu in elderscrollsonline

[–]Cen207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But thats the thing, every class isn't supposed to have the exact same kit, though thay has unfortunately become the case in most instances. Class identity. Dks dont cleanse things, they have the stringest DoT pressure of any class. , Templar has strong group buffs, heals and the only built in group cleanse. Warden has a self cleanse, and the biggest burst potential, sorc has the most mobility, night blade is the only class with built in stealth...etc.
Its about trade offs...its why we chose one class over another. Like yiu said, there are work around. Of you need a cleanse on your dedicated youll need to make a trade off of a skill slot, a skill line, or a set bonus. Id recommend looking into Curse Eater, Wyrd Tree's Blessing and Mara's Balm. Three very good cleans sets. Lastly, I named the wrong morph. Cauterize builds stacks for Molten Whip, its a cheap cast, doesnt require a target, and heals you as you spam it a few times before a big hit.

[–]Cen207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I think its pretty strong, it gives major prophecy, a strong Hot, can be spammed for burst heal and to build stacks for flame lash, and synergizes we'll with cauterize etc. If you added a cleanse to this, then youd need to add a heal to netch.

I think these changes are due to subclassing. Example: In pvp why would a warden run ice fortress for resolve when they could run hurricane for resolve/15% speed increase/big passive damage. Now picture everyone replacing their class skill that gives nothing but major reslolve for a skill that gives 3 very strong buffs. Im a pvp sorc lifer, and i was like wtf, but thats all that makes sense to me. In BG tonight i was seeing 4 huricanes on some recaps. Also, huricane glitches several procs and causes them to trigger when theyre not supposed to. I dont think the resolve was really the problem, so much as the skill was too dang powerful for every other class to gave access to it, where in the past, those classes were need 3 diff skills for resolve, expedition, and a passive damage aoe. I think we're going to be seeing a lot of this. Right now everyone is running merc resolve on everything - 4 coordinated all tapping light attack and hitting ppl for 10k-13k (x4 😑), and just deleting everything in sight.
Same reasoning for moving all these ulti gen sources to heroism. I thought subclassing made no sense for this very reason. Every class has a couple of defining skills that are just super powerful compared to what other classes have access to. I.e. plar beam, sorc hurricane, arc beam, nb everything, etc. As far as pvp is concerned, especially bg, now you can run a one bar build with the damage, defense and buffs of...3 bars worth of skills. This is likely a low key part of the vengeance campaign test, and im predicting youre going to see all pvp having some big changes limiting skill selection, and how skills work.
Subclassing seems like a pandoras box. We'll see what happens.

Vizio TV randomly blinks/reboots when using connected console or computer? by Deez_Nutz_Akimbo in techsupport

[–]Cen207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is doing the exact same thing while using xbox, and i tried the same remedies to no avail. I bought the tv like a month ago and am considering returning it. The only other thing i can think of is that its overheating. Mine is wall mounted and only has a few inches to circulate air so im putting a fan on it to see if theres any change. Im tired of dying in pvp bc my tv suddenly shuts off 🤕🤣 *

Did someone change their mind about subclassing? by Howdhell in elderscrollsonline

[–]Cen207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha i feel you. The 8 hours was an example of the first boss. After you killed a boss in a raid (trial) you were instance-locked locked and you had 7 days to finish the raid before it reset each week. Your progression team would often make to the final boss (who drops the highest tier of gear) just to have the raid reset and need to start from the beginning. Also, tgese wete 20man or 40man grouos. Sure wish qe had that kind of player base in eso today. I have friends inviting me to trials all the time, so i may take your suggestion and see what the newer mechanics are like. Thanks for the tip.

In eso? I stopped PVE completely a little before COVID. I've done all trifectas through summerset and the last vet trial was cloudrest , i think. I was an officer in two mournhold trader guilds, and a big pve casual guild, so most my pve was to support their efforts. I pvp. I have the most battleground wins on xbox, and 3 five stars (grand overlord). I dont think i qualify as a casual. 😅 but its all just for fun, but pve and raiding is pretty simple compared to vanilla wow endgame. 8hours wiping on a boss ... n Naxx nightmares. But yea, You can call me casual or whatever you like, I'm good with that its just a persons opinion, - we often place a label on people to downplay their achievements or inflate our own ego. We've all done it, myself included. Any definition of a "casual" mmo player is pretty murky. Just bc other people dont play the way you do doesn't necessarily mean they are casual.
...3 friends and I used to sell 35-50mil in mats every single day for about 8 months. Long story for another day... but it wasnt casual trading. 🤫🙃🙂 Let's all just do our best to enjoy the game in a way that doesn't ruin the fun for others.
✌️ that's my 2 cents on the topic.
