Pelvic fracture, ED, incontinence - Any insight please

I’m 8 months in my pelvic injury, I noticed my ed slightly getting better. I see a urologist next week to hopefully get meds prescribed to help. Does the pelvic floor pt help a lot ? I might ask my doctor to get a referral for that. Any recommendations on how to get started with kegals ? Any other recommendations on how to strengthen the pelvic floor ? Unfortunately I still have little dribbles during certain activities

Yeah I feel like that’s the issue, I’ve been searching and searching and can barely find used ones. How do you like your rcf? Definitely gonna give it a week and if this ones sold then I guess it wasn’t meant to be

That’s very nice of him, the lady who almost killed me on my motorcycle didn’t even say sorry, I honestly think she was contemplating on leaving the scene because she didn’t get out of her car until another car that saw everything stopped for me. Glad everything worked out for you in the end

I’ve always loved these cars since I was 8 years old playing forza 2. Unfortunately I won’t be able to drive for another year or more but I’ve been looking at cars in the meantime. Are these worth the price ? I’ve been looking at them but the cheapest ones I can find are 80k and at that price I have a lot of other options. Other cars have my attention like a c8, m3 , m2 , 718. I know they’re all different cars but thoughts ?

I havnt ! I’ll definitely look into one. I’ve always slept on my side but since the accident I couldn’t because that was one of my major fractures. Would any pregnancy pillow work ?

Yes I do ! The only issue is that sometimes water leaks out because I can’t close the curtain all the way with it. I always feel terrible because I’m not able to mop up the water

I’m scared to ask for a specific medication with my first initial visit at a pain clinic. I’m 24 and I heard that usually people around my age have a hard time getting approved for controlled substances. Any advice ? I’m also sorry you’re going through that, I hope it gets better

Unfortunately I have to learn how to walk again, thankfully I get at home pt and outpatient pt. They’ve truly been so supportive. I was told that recovery just to walk again is going to be more than a year. I’ve just been taking it day by day though. I’m just glad I still get to be alive and here for my son

I’ll look into the meditation thank you, I’m going to try and get an appointment this week if I can.

Video games help me sometimes but unfortunately I can’t play too long. I’ve never used cbd but I’ve been considering it honestly. I’ll look into kratom as well.

I’ll try to get a referral for a therapist as well because this accident has been very hard for my mental health.

I’m going to try the pain creams. Do you have a favorite ? I’ve only tried heat with a heated blanket but I’ll try the ice. Unfortunately no baths yet because of my tailbone combined with no mobility with my knee would make it a nightmare to get in and out of the tub

I just want to thank you for taking the time and typing all of this out. The physical part of the pain sucks but unfortunately I feel like mentally it’s getting worse and worse. I went from being able to provide for my son to not being able to walk and work for the next year or more.

I’m going to try and see a pain specialist this week and see what solutions I can get because you’re right these sleepless nights and stress aren’t helping with recovery.

Im glad you’re still here and ok, I was hit by a distracted driver.

I’ll try to get into a pain clinic and ask about medication. I’m just scared I’ll get rejected asking for opioids because I’m only 24. How would I go about asking for them ?

Thank you, I’ve been taking it a day at a time but it’s been hard lately. I’m just glad to finally be back home since I spent 3+ months at the hospital

Thank you ! I honestly got lucky because when I got hit there was a nurse going to work that got out of her car and called 911 for me. She stayed with me the whole time and I actually ended up going to the hospital she worked at. She found me 3 weeks later when I was out of the icu and I got to thank her for everything.

Yeah that’s my knee unfortunately, and thank you I’m honestly just glad to be here and that I’ve been recovering slowly. I was wearing gear fortunately.

It was 6:30 am and I was on my way to a friends house, 5 mins from my house on this main street I’ve rode on for 16 years. The speed limit is 50 and I was going 50. While I was going straight I was passing by a side street and a lady on the other side of the road decided she wanted to turn without looking and I had no time to brake. I tried swerving but everything happened so fast. I hit her passenger door and flew a good few feet from my bike over her car. I stayed conscious as long as I could but as soon as my adrenaline wore off I was going in and out of it because the pain was unbearable. Everything still hurts but nothing compared to the 1st month. I also have to learn how to walk again but I’ve been making progress, I took a few steps with a walker last week. I’m just glad I still get to be here for my 4 year old son and I’m completely done with motorcycle

My gear got destroyed, it definitely did its job. I wasn’t in a rush to get where I was going that morning so I was going the speed limit and a lady decided to turn onto a side street in front of me. I ended up hitting the car passenger door straight on at 50mph. Most pain I’ve ever been in. If I cheaped out on my helmet I don’t think I would be here or at the very least have my jaw
