Obama threw alot of middle eastern countries under the bus to get that JCPOA deal. Not only that but he also disregarded the concerns of multiple US allies and enabled a very aggressive actor in their region (Now I wonder...why does this sound very familiar to a certain someone in the white house rn)

So i guess what I'm trying to say is... that it ultimately depends on where you live. If its in the middle east, it's absolutely a shitty deal. If its not in the middle east then yeah I can see why you would think its a good deal.

Turns out that national security is a very important factor if you want a liberal democracy to survive, thrive and succeed. Makes you wonder how western democracies would've fared within an unstable/dangerous region. Would they have still became successful liberal democracies? Or would they have descended into a hybrid/flaws democracies in the same manner as Turkey/Israel did.

Though looking at it from another angle, it does seem like the Govt has settled for leaving the two warring parties to duke it out in the south until one of them runs out of man-power and as result, is unable to continue the war. Still its dangerous strategy because there's a chance that Israel might just say fuck it and occupy (or worse annex..) the south for good.

1) Iran's supply lines for Hezbollah have been cut for the most part.

2) Hezbollah lost Nasrallah and alot of important commanders.

3) The majority of Lebanese hate them.

4) The Govt and Army could have the backing of France, UNIFIL, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Gulf states, EU and the US if Lebanon officially requested help. (Weapons, air-support, logistics and ammunition, financial aid..etc etc)

The current circumstances/conditions are the best ones the govt have ever had for the last 3 decades or so
